We wandered back on sat afternoon and got in no problem. So we lingered and ate! Must have a reservation in eves here!! It was so fabulous and not so loud either when no one in here! The girls remembered us from last nite too funny. I had a lemon martini to start with bread ( olive oil and balsamic)... More

The newly redone dining area looks much brighter. I had the butternut squash ravioli and caesar salad (smaller portions), and it was plenty for lunch. Both were excellent. My friends had the salmon special and sea bass - and both said their dishes were excellent as well. We were not in a hurry - so the speed of when we... More

We were able to share the pasta feature which had an excellent roasted red pepper sauce. Salads were fresh and delicious and the lemon dessert was out of this world. Service was attentive and efficient

The restaurant has great decor, very stylish. But it was noisy, a hard place to converse. Italian and all diners seemed really happy with their food. Wine was good, too. I had pizza (wood-fired oven) which was very good. My wife had wild mushroom lasagna and she said it was very good, not fabulous, but very good. Friends with us... More

I had a very nice, planned evening for my wife on Sat Mar 4th. We stayed at the Hilton on 10th and Marquette, so Zelo was easily within Walking distance at 8th and Nicollet. I did my research and because my wife really loves Italian cuisine, I thought Zelo was the perfect place, so I made reservations at 6 pm.... More

If you read my reviews of the spots in downtown Minneapolis, you will notice a running theme that the locals just aren't very polite. I think I heard "you're welcome" maybe twice while there, and "thank you" even less. I was about to assault the next person that walked right past me as I held the door for them, without... More

This is a very good downtown restaurant choice. The room - or rooms - is beautiful: sophisticated, white table cloths - elegant and gorgeous. Food was excellent. The Kale Salad was overdressed but my pasta - with Italian Sausage and peas - was delicious. Service was friendly, warm and smiling. Wine list is excellent.

Visited for lunch. Both of ordered a flatbread and shared the crab cakes. The crab cakes were the best part of the meal. The flatbreads were OK. The bread was the best part. The Wild Mushroom flatbread came out greasy with a chewy crust. Would not recommend. The cheese was not appropriate for a flatbread. Have visited in the past... More
