Two favorite things about Old Milwaukee; Free popcorn and their soup/salad buffet that comes with dinner specials. I like the fish better than other restaurants in the area. It's perch with a light breading rather than the battered and fried that's typical. The best part for me is the all you can eat salad and soup. Their soups are home... More

This bar has been here for many years and the locals all know each other; but don't let that dissuade you from visiting. Jeff has been the owner for many years and the patrons are super friendly. We stumble in occasionally when we are up this way and always find somebody interesting to talk to. They are fast workers and... More

Don't be snooty or the local folks will make you uncomfortable. Thus be genuine and you will have a grand time and learn a lot about the folks of Ideal Corners

I sauntered into the Old Milwaukee with a buddy as we waited for some friends to arrive. Beer was cheap and came in a cold mason jar. Our bartender was like an old friend, making sure we had what we needed. Fun stop, wish I would have been able to try some of the food. This place is plenty crowded... More

Comfy, friendly atmosphere - catch the Twins game on the TV while you enjoy the Friday night all you can eat fish special. Maybe play a few pull tabs while you wait for your cold beverage!

Old Milwaukee is by far my favorite bar/saloon/restaurant in the area. As others have said, the salad bar is the best. Not a huge selection, but crisp and fresh. The fried chicken is excellent. The Whimpie burgers are always a favorite. The drinks are stiff (awesome pour of B and B!). Games for the kids are always a plus. The... More

The food was very good. Our waitress however, was more interested in the totally drunk golfers at the bar. There was another group of over served people who were very loud and swearing at the top of their lungs. I was there trying to eat with my 80 year old Mother and my Wife. Whom ever was suppose to be... More

If you don't know exactly where this place is, you will miss it even though it is right on the corner. When you walk through the door you think you're walking into a bar--yes you are but there is a dining room on the side. It's not pretty or fancy but the food is good and the service is above...
