Good sandwiches and cakes. Coffee is acceptable but not fantastic. Tea is okay too. The staff is friendly and it is a vibrant place. The great thing is they are always open, even Sundays and public holidays

A Balwyn icon (even before it changed locations), Laurent is always busy with patrons. It can be hard to get a table because a lot of people seem to go on their own and so all the tables are taken up with just one person on each! There are some small tables towards the back that are more suitable for... More

I love Laurent patisserie. They have an excellent selection of mini cakes and patisserie. Their croissants and breads are excellent as you would hope. Coffee is great and the atmosphere is a little taste of French. My only disappointment is they don't make the chocolate donuts any more! Oh well, just have to have my other favorite, the almond croissant!

My initial visit for a Morning coffee seemed to be a very slow process. Lunched here a day or so later on salmon, cream cheese and caper sandwich and a skinny latte. Coffees turned up at the same time but not the sandwiches. Had to ask! Better places in the area for better service available! Not in a hurry to... More

This is similar to other Laurent Boulangeries with their standard fare, but quite a few tables and good access for elderly with walking frames etc. Friendly staff.

As a regular at all the Laurent cafes, this one is by far the larger, with a bustling ambience. Locals flock there for their cake and coffee fix. Usually i will have the chicken focaccia and a latte in a bowl. (their example of a mug) And will take home one of their danishes preferably a cherry one. Service is... More

Met a friend on a Sunday morning and it was nice to be able to sit and chat without being hurried on. A good variety of tea and coffees were on offer, with lively take aways, as well and fresh sandwiches and pastries looked appetising.

I used to go to the predecessor of this place, then it took a turn for the worst. hardy any of the food is made on site, everything is VERY expensive fro what you get, coffee is bad quality. Plenty of other cafes in walking distance that serve better quality with a smile for a lot less.
