Doe’s restaurant is a great place to eat. They serve a variety of food, from juicy steaks, shrimp, spaghetti and hot tamales. The atmosphere is very unique in that it is an old shotgun house in downtown Greenville. Many people come from all over the...More

Doe's is an institution in the Mississippi Delta. The building has been in the same location since pre-1941. The "steakhouse" part of the business began in 1941. The Signa family have served the same foods, the same way since 1941. If you want a fancy...More

The house is a shack it looks like its been there since 1941. You enter through the kitchen, they have tables, the staff is good. The attraction is hot tamalles and steak. I got there because it was close to the Mississippi river.

In same run down location since 1941, Doe's oozes character. Enter through the kitchen and feel the blast furnace broiler. No menu. No wine(BYO). Steak or shrimp. French fries (undercooked) and lettuce salad swimming in oil. Decent garlic bread. Steaks gargantuan and just okay. I...More

They do have an incredible steak. Very good and highly recommended. Sadly, the price is high and we don’t eat there often. Would be nice if they gave the place a good cleaning every now and then. The Hot Tamales were good that night, and...More

This place was a tiny run down house shack? You walk thru the kitchen to get to tables some which lean towards the right. In the kitchen there are a couple of free standing stoves like in a house kitchen. On the stoves are cast...More

I grew up down the street from this place and was never allowed to enter it because of the color of my skin. I visited family for my birthday in February and decided I wanted to see what the food was really like in this...More

This has long been the premier restaurant in Greenville, MS. Not only are their steaks the top of the line but also their hot tamales. We have eaten here fairly often and most always when we are in Greenville. It has a great history and...More

The steaks at Doe's Eat Place are pricey and worth every penny. The porterhouse was at least $60; it may have been $65. The fillets run about $40. You won't regret it, but bring a credit card or a lot of cash.
