We came across this pub whilst having a drive out and looking for somewhere to eat. The pub itself has lots of charm and the staff were friendly. The menu sounded good so I ordered smoked haddock and brie fish cakes with sauce, salad and new potatoes. The battered fish brought out to the couple next to us looked delicious... More

A friend of a friend told us about this place and so glad they did. Saturday evening and a table for four. Greeted as soon as we walked in the door and shown to our table. Drinks order take almost instantly. A pretty good "pub grub" menu with some extra dishes. Soup for me with a chunk bread roll and... More

We ate here for two nights as we were staying at the attached cottage and found the food to be lovely, generous portions and the staff were polite and friendly with excellent service. We had different food on both nights and on the second night ended up stuffed after just two courses. The breakfasts we had were well cooked and... More

We dined here 3 nights running (including the Thursday Steak Night) and thoroughly enjoyed all the courses. The portions are very generous and good value. The Staff, both in the kitchen and in the restaurant, work very hard and professionally, but have a light-hearted manner. Recommended.

This was a last minute booking over an Easter weekend in March. We were looking for a break, where we just needed to throw things in a case and go. We had our dinner there for the two nights that we were there, and it was honest great tasting food. The breakfasts were good too, the scrambled eggs were truly... More
