Delicious food, wonderful service. Prawns for starter and lamb was amazing. We had to wait a bit as Saturday night and all freshly cooked but worth the wait. We were going to walk back to the Cricketers but we were offered a lift. So friendly....Would definitely go again.More

First time at Ananta last night with some friends who are regulars. Delicious authentic Thai food, friendly service from Sergio, easy to find and park, good selection of beers, wines and non-alcoholic options for me as designated driver and lovely ambience in a traditional Essex...pub. All good. We'll be regulars too.More

My friend and I visited Ananta on Friday evening, 12th August, at 7pm. We had pre-booked and out table was waiting for us. As it was a birthday celebration, I had pre-ordered the 'Special Selection of Starters' at £13.95 per head ....... not cheap but...definitely worth it, as the taste, quality and presentation were all first class. I then had a chicken cashew stir fry with noodles and my friend had a red curry with jasmine rice - both were delicious, although after the starters I struggled to finish my main course. We ordered a Rioja white wine to accompany our meal and that came nicely chilled on a very hot evening. The service was also attentive - discreet but there when we wanted something. I would definitely return to this restaurant next time I am in the area.More

We walked in without a reservation and the barman could not have been more attentive and accommodating. Food was amazing, home cooked, delicious. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely delicious food in a lovely setting, run by a friendly and attentive team. The lamb shank massaman curry was absolutely delicious but the highlight for me was the scallop ceviche which was light, zingy and beautifully balanced. There was a really good wine list...as well. I can't recommend this place enough, we will definitely be planning a return visit as soon as possible.More

Great food, excellent portion size, lovely staff and reasonable prices. We’d passed this place several times going to and from Saffron Walden and gave it a try. Glad we did and will certainly do so again when staying in the area.

The best Thai for miles and therefore we ignore all the others around us and drive a good few miles out for this! The starters, in particular, are phenomenal - sweetcorn cakes, satay and duck rolls are the best I’ve ever tasted and on a...par with food eaten in Thailand. Great customer service and it’s no surprise they are always busy so think ahead, it’s so worth it.More

Favourite restaurant in the area, great atmosphere and large choice of drinks and the food is made from scratch and from the heart! The staff do everything to ensure you have a fantastic visit and even our young nieces and nephew are not problems to...feed either. Great experience and even though we will be moving from the area, we will still travel to visit and eat here. Would recommend.More

Visited here with our two grown up kids to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. Gorgeous food - kids are both veggie/vegan and there was so much choice. We pre-ordered starters and mains which was actually really nice to take time to choose and just relax...on arrival. Waitresses were super nice and professional - husband touched when his truffles were brought out with birthday candles. Lots of other tables occupied and everyone commenting on the lovely food etc. Have used their food truck several times (Saffron Hall - off the beaten truck) - always fab too.
