Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went here with my partner, We really enjoyed the food and the beer was great. I am a vegetarian and I chose a nut roast which was really good and at a great price too. Staff were so friendly and had big smiles throughout. Would...recommend to everyone who wants a fantastic lunch .More

Went in for a drink, stayed for dinner. The choice of beers was good. Dinner was very nice, I had 2 starters and fries instead of a main and my husband had the burger. And all at a reasonable price. All the staff are very...friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back.More

Very disappointed with the experience we had at wibblers, most of the food was over cooked and poor. The steak wasn’t cooked how we asked but the waiters did fix this for us however the waiters were extremely poor.

The staggered seating timings means that there is no waiting to order and main food comes quickly. Table clearing could be quicker.

Such a huge disappointment…..drove from Southend to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The food was a plate of over fried mush…. A vegan platter a huge bowl of olives, peanuts and toast ( not pitta bread) a few fried falafel (frozen) and humus. And so expensive…...and so tasteless…shan’t be returning or recommending anyone else to go here ☹️☹️☹️More

An absolute disappointment. We were looking forward to a celebration lunch for my birthday 🎂 and the food was abysmal. A vegan platter consisting mainly of olives, peanuts and convenience food which was fried to mush.. Potato bravas arrived as large boiled potatoes in a...yomato sauce. The tapas didn't fare better with once again fried frozen food; a cheese.ploughmans had some cheese placed on dome salad leaves plus lots of crisps. Large portions but we would have preferred quality over quantity. The only saving grace was the Wibblers beer and the helpful service from the bartender and waitress £94 could have so easily meant a decent meal. Reduce the vast menu choices...ditch the frozen convenience food and cook from scratch!More

Delicious beer brewed on site, along with a well stocked bar for those who don't like beer. Pleasantly surpised with the food menu, which is extensive & really good. Four of us tried different things for dinner & all were impressed.

First time here and very local to us. This is an actual brewery as well and you can take a tour. As a real ale Dan, this was the ideal place to enjoy a pint ( or three ). Six different ales to choose from...and a few lagers ( plus a couple of ciders ) - all brewed here. Service was great and a pleasant and knowledgeable bar man served us and then showed us to out table ( we had booked which is advisable ). Great choice of food and very generous portions too. Very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend to anyone.More

Just returned from sunday lunch at Wibblers . Took my mother out to celebrate her 86th birthday. The roast dinner is fabulous. And plentiful (you will not leave hungry) had tiger prawns in garlic butter to start . I could have eaten a bucket load...of them . They were delicious. Great choice of desserts too. And to top it off there is an excellent choice of real ales (other drinks available of course) . My second visit...it will not be my last . Already looking forward to returningMore

Our first visit after a recommendation and we decided to try the Sunday roast…..the meal was lovely! Very generous portions, very well presented and very tasty 😋 It was a little chilly to sit outside but the option is there for the warmer days. I...would recommend making a reservation. The host was very friendly and the service was good.More

Stopped here on our Sunday weekend train excursion. Restaurant was full, but they found us space (my 9yr old son & I). I had the gammon, egg & chips while my son had the chicken goujons off the children’s menu. Both meals were tasty, substantial...and well presented. An unexpected highlight for me was a couple of pints of finely-crafted ale. The barman was very friendly and shared plenty of information about the brewery. Will definitely go back … though perhaps with a couple of my friends for a more in-depth exploration of their brewed products!More

What you see is what you get, no fuss, really good food and drinks. It was really busy when we visited and the service was still good. We had the tapas board which was excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
