Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food, customer service and ambiance are excellent; a very nice outdoor seating area and large indoor dining area split into discreet areas to keep the quant dining experience. Don't be confused by the outdoor appearance and drive past this is truly a " Tardis"...building bigger on the inside with a large extension. The menu caters for a quick taisty sandwich with fries to an extensive 1 , 2 or 3 course meal. Can thoroughly recommend it.More

This venue is a hidden gem, it's like a Tardis much bigger inside than it looks, has an excellent choice of country style meals and light meals of sandwiches with chips / fries, eat in or out very comfortable outside eating area. The bar is...very well stocked.More

Called in at lunch time. Was fairly busy. Lovely atmosphere. The two waitresses looked after us from the time we walked in to when we left. Very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Both myself and my wife opted for the small plates...option. Really good value at £10. Filled us up. Then we had another drink outside. The garden area is beautiful. Had a really nice chilled out afternoon. Will be making this a regular visit from now on.More

Visited on a busy Sunday lunch. We hadn't booked but were found a table quickly. Drinks arrived promptly. Food was superb, all home cooked and well presented. Try this pub, food and service were top notch! And the outside area is lovely especially on a...sunny day and the children were happily playing in the garden.More

One of the best Sunday lunches I've had in a long time. Everything cooked to perfection. Staff were really welcoming and attentive. Would 100% recommend. Looking forward to going back to try their specials.

Absolutely awful, place is tired and grubby. Bird poo and cobwebs all over the outside tables. Children’s swings have the seat adjusted so only a grown adult could sit on them. They have you by the short and curlys with having to pay upfront at...two separate bars. No wine list and a dirty tattered paper menu with a very basic menu. Expect to build an appetite whilst waiting for you food. Starters were just below average and the main (Sunday roast) was dry as a bone, watery bisto, vegetables boiled within an inch of their lives and soggy black and blue roast potatoes The beauty is the waitress won’t return for at least 30 mins to collect your plates and with everyone’s plates being basically untouched she won’t even need to ask if it was all ok for you.More

First disappointing meal in many years. Asked for the roast of the day, when it arrived no Yorkshire pudding when asked - they had run out it would have been nice to have been advised prior to ordering. In its place was additional potatoes we...were advised. Unfortunately the potatoes were hard and the meal was sent back. Second meal was beef sandwich in gravy chips and salad.fair but not something I’d repeat. All in all won’t be returning anytime soon.More

Great food - sadly the service was not up to scratch. Left waiting for 15 minutes without taking a drinks order. 20 - 30 minute wait between course and having to find a waitress to clear our table for the next order. Very disappointing. Lacking...leadership and motivation of staff!More

Very small portions, duck was lukewarm. However, the vegetables were cold filled in fact. Dark corner table so ambiance not great.

We waited for half an hour to be served (week night so less busy). We were told we couldn’t order at the bar. The starter (bread) arrived half hour later. We waited another half hour to the main which consisted of undercooked chunky chips (not...the fries as they were unavailable). Slow service considering the halloumi burger cost £15 and the steak cost £25. Overall, we were disappointed with the meal and service.More

We went here on Saturday 28th April having booked online and asking for two high chairs. The table was set without any highchairs, so we had to fetch them ourselves. The waitress who seated us eventually took a drink order but it was at least 15mins...before the drinks came, we later asked if we could order more drinks to be told "after i have cleared the table" she then proceeded to clear three other tables and we had to get the manager to take the order. Food was very ordinary and some eg the pie was very tasteless, the chips were huge skin on wedges which were awful. overall a horrible evenig we will not be returning.More
