This is a lovely pub, with a warm welcome. Our goulash starters were extremely good, and very generous portions. For mains, we had 2 of the day`s specials: a Megrim sole and a venison casserole, which were absolutely excellent. I wish we had a pub...like this near us!More

Met my son for lunch before playing golf. We were warmly welcomed by Becky, and had a lovely meal - my son had the ribs, and I had the Fish Finger ciabatta which was delicious. I booked a table for this Sunday lunch with my...partner, and feel sure we will have a lovely time too…More

Great place for a pint and the meals looked good. Not the usual burger and chips and the place was buzzing on a Wednesday early evening. Will sample the food next time

Food to die for, service was fantastic and very friendly. If I could eat here more often I would but I couldn't afford to , though the prices reflect the quality and flavour of the food, I was blown away with my starter and the...main was delicious. Well done to the chefs and service staff. Will definitely be returning, best meal I've had in a long time. Worth every penny. Would highly recommend it.More

Becky and the team continue to supply excellent food and service second to none. Tried a new trick this visit, missed the starter and went for a main and desert, not disappointed. In the past we have not managed to get to the "Puds" due...to portion sizes for the other courses - you never come away feeling less than full. With regular menus "tweaks" there is always something new to try.More

We had my 50th birthday party here. My daughter said they couldn’t have been any more helpful to make the arrangements easy. Amazing service and gorgeous food. I lost an earring from my late Mum during the evening, they went above and beyond and managed...to get it back to me.More

Excellent venue, consistently providing quality food and friendly service. Hosts are very accommodating and flexible whatever your requirements. After finding the Red Lion a couple of years ago, I and friends have been regular customers.

Had not been to the Red Lion since moving to France in 2009, having returned it is now our local eatery - and we are lucky. Service from Becky and the staff is always second to none and we have never been served food other...than the highest quality. I do not wish to add up how much I have spent there, but it is always good value. Regular menu changes and special events keep drawing us back.More

If Dave g looks on the pub website he will see one table at roadside. The car park at the back is bland and I don't recall any extra outside seating there. Either way it's nice inside, with three south facing windows. If a... More
