We stopped by for lunch. A good feeling and a good welcome. Food was good and the pub was busy. We were recommended to visit and was not disappointed. Prices were about £10 per person. Jackie the landlady was very welcoming.

There are two bars (one dog friendly); nice & warm. friendly staff and super landlord/lady. In summer, go for the conservatory, or even the garden if its warm enough. Menus to suit all ages and pockets; food is really good and there is also a specials board changed daily. Well patronised by the locals - a sure sign of success.

I called in for lunch here in November while passing through the area. The signs looked good. A very busy pub full of locals, all enjoying themselves and the food. The menu was enticing and the staff very pleasant. I decided to try the steak and ale pie with chips and peas. When the food arrived there was a very... More

We visited the George & Dragon for a family get together on a Saturday evening at the start of December 2016. We've often wondered why someone doesn't run a pub that offers good, well presented, home cooked food, with a traditional menu, and ample portions at reasonable prices. Why does every pub seems to want to make their menus over... More

Persuaded the Mrs to stop for a drink on the way to skegness. Glad I did; reasonable choice of drinks and decent staff. We meant to stop on the way back for food as it looked/smelled good and if I remember correctly was well priced but we did not have time in the end so will have to go back... More

Went to this pub with my friend for lunch but only wanting a light bite. Greeted by a friendly young lady on our arrival and quickly served a drink and handed the menu. There was a section of light bites all smaller portions and my friend chose the fish and chips and I had a burger. Burger was enjoyed but... More

Visited on a Wednesday evening for a meal having heard good reports. We were not disappointed, service was very friendly, nothing seemed to be a bother. GLUTEN FREE well catered for. The food arrived in good time, well presented and was delicious, gluten free deserts were made in house and were a real treat for one of us. Yet another... More

Wife and I went on a Thursday night which was their Steak night, to be honest I thought it was average but the wife really enjoyed her meal. I'm not going to complain because it was cheap and you get what you pay for. We went because we had heard good things so it might be just me , just... More
