The menu features some changing seasonal specials. I highly recommend the tasting menu, and if you have time, the 8-course chef's tasting menu is particularly enjoyable. Good for a business dinner or a date night.

Business lunch for three. Table ready on time, quiet, good server--got in an out of the way quickly. Food was "good" but not really special. Prices were above average. Ambiance (for a different situation) is not overwhelming.

Clayton Restaurant Week, staff hopping and everything ran like clockwork. Service as leisurely as a European restaurant. B/c of Restaurant Week, we met a chef that served and other front of house folks serving clearing and pouring. Truly a collaborative crew. Then, the food: chilled...More

This restaurant certainly lives up to its billing. We tried the premium tasting menu, and everything was delicious: beet salad, gulf shrimp ragu, tagliatelle, salmon, halibut, pecan financier cake. The highlight had to be the shrimp ragu--the shrimp were so flavorful you will think you...More

This is a first class restaurant with reasonable prices, considering the quality and presentation of food. We visited recently with 6 people, and our Server, Zach was extremely helpful. Every dish was well prepared. The $35 tasting menu, with 4 courses, was extraordinary--loved the gazpacho,...More

Description
Featuring local "farm to table" food using a breadth of farmer in the Missouri and Illinois communities. When asked to define of The Crossing, Owner/Executive Chef Jim Fiala often says that he is a chef that buys locally whenever possible and cooks as any French and/or Italian chef would given the ingredients sourced. Joining Jim is Chef Matt Abeshouse who brings a wealth of passion and expertise in classic French cuisine to the kitchen. Our food is fresh, organic (whenever possible), seasonal and by design very simple. The Crossing stays true to classic techniques and the chefs love showing off their skills and passion for elegant food.
