Never experienced an Indian meal in Spain so this is a first. The food was really good and tasty ....maybe a lack of choice but it is a very small restaurant right in the heart of Mijas Pueblo. We were there on a busy night but the staff coped but we sensed the stress at times. If you like a... More

The food was really good and well presented. Not you normal indian. Dishes come on black slate or shaped white dishes. Excellant quality and a good service from the staff.

We've visited multiple times and have never been disappointed here by the food and vibe (both been in groups and solo). Great for a change from the usual local fare, with creative and high quality dishes. Would highly recommend a visit!

The food here is great and I'm looking forward to going back! The service on the other hand is astonishingly poor when compared to our last two visits in 2016. I believe the owner was working in the restaurant last year and her presence made a huge difference. This year I would recommend this restaurant simply because the food is... More

My first visit to Lotus la Malaguena, but most definitely not my last. Based on a friends recommendation we decided to try Lotus last night. We arrived early (19:15) and we were the only guests, but by 20:30, all six indoor tables and the bar were full. We decided to start with the poppadum basket (€ 2.00), 2 poppadums accompanied... Great Indian restaurant in mijas pueblo . The chicken tikka served on the hot plate was really good . Only complaint was we had to sit inside due to the roadworks and it was very warm

Yummy vegetable curries, garlic nan breads following super vegetable samosas and onion bhajis. A godsend when the staple tourist menus leave you uninterested in eating. And given curry is the best when it starts to get cold and you are need for a chilli and garlic hit - Lotus is very good indeed. Friendly service. Lovely intimate venue.

We were really looking forward to our meal at this place but came away feeling disappointed. The food tasted fine but the veg pakora wasn't what I understand by veg pakora. The chicken tikka masala was ok but the sauce seemed ready made. If you are on holiday and looking for an authentic Indian meal then I'd advise you to... More
