During our stay in Mijas Pueblo we went here twice as we just loved the atmosphere (outdoor seating with heating, cozy light and music) and the food had a great value for money. They have tapas but also regular main plates (nice salads, meat, lovely pasta, etc.) which are all very tasty and also their wines are amazing (Sauvignon by the glass for example was very nice). Highly recommend, you will feel cozy there!

Koko's has a good location on the square and was great for people watching. We ordered several tapas dishes which were all decent. Not the best quality tapas we had in Mijas and the portions were on the small size, but they were well priced and nicely presented. We had a few glasses of cava with food and it was well priced. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

We absolutely love Koko. It's always our first dinner stop when we arrive in Mijas Pueblo. The tapas is outstanding and they have a good variety of other dishes to choose from. The wine on offer is also excellent and we hardly ever have just one bottle. The staff are always friendly and attentive and we really appreciate seeing the same smiley faces every time we visit. We hope we still get to visit for many years.

Mediocre service, food boring, a little expensive, desserts tasted supermarket bought.. Sauces with main courses all tasted like they were out of a packet. Not interesting and we wouldn’t go back. Sangria as an aperitif was undrinkable.

We were looking forward to dinner, having read good reviews. Service was very slow and we were still waiting for a number of dishes by the time some of us had finished. Some dishes never did arrive and so we asked for them to be removed from the bill. Main course was more like a starter and pasta was stuck together. When we complained, the waiters didn’t seem very overly concerned or apologetic. Just poor all round and we won’t be returning.

We turned up at the restaurant without a reservation, and it was very busy both inside and outside. We were lucky that another party hadn't turned up and so were given their table after originally being told that we would need to wait 40 minutes. The staff were good, but they didn't hide the fact that they were busy, you could see it on their faces. However, they were polite and didn't rush us at all. We had the Tapas and it had some original dishes on the menu with an interesting take on tapas. The food was very nice and about average in price for Tapas in Mijas Pueblo (not overly expensive, but no where near as cheap as many other Spanish cities). The wine was good and its in a nice location. I would recommend booking as they get busy.

I met up with a friend who has been going to this restaurant for a few years and who loved it. However, we were both disappointed. The portions were quite small and expensive for what they were. I had the Bao Bun which was inedible - I really couldn't chew it, it was like trying to eat thick, chewy toffee. I also asked for a glass of tap water with my wine but was refused. I believe that this is now illegal in Spain to refuse to give tap water in a restaurant. The staff were also unfriendly. The waiter asked if the food was okay and I told him that it wasn't, as I had left almost all of it and was told that he would just tell the chef but still charged me for it.

We arrived for a weeks holiday in one of our favourite Spanish villages, Mijas Pueblo. We decided to have some tapas and wine, so we chose Koco Bistro as its always busy and the reviews are very positive. We had 4 dishes and a bottle of house red, the small dishes and delicious. The afternoon was relaxing and the wine was helping! We enjoyed the food that much we ordered 3 more. Our favourite dish was the fried aubergine with goats cheese and honey. The service was excellent and friendly. The value for money was a bonus at a total of €40 which included 7 tapas dishes and a bottle of house Rioja. We will certainly be visiting again before we go home!

When we visit Mijas we always eat at the KoCo Bistro, we have been fortunate each time to get a table without having to wait, although we have seen others having to queue at peak times. Service is good, tapas portions just the right size, good quality food and fairly priced. Sangria is excellent. We would not hesitate to return.

Lovely local restaurant with excellent tapas. I had lunch here with 2 teenagers and we all loved the food, decor and inside aircon. Service was super-friendly and price is very reasonable for such delicious food so beautifully presented. Slightly away from the main square so make sure you go and find this bistro. Great terrace with outdoor tables to people-watch as the coaches pick up/drop off.

Visited this Bistro in December 2018, then again in September and October 2019, for tapas and wine, as I own a holiday home in Mijas Pueblo and frequent visitor. House wine excellent, but the tapas were nothing to write home about and very small portioned. The bistro was closed for a period in December 2019, possibly for kitchen refurbishment. Visited again with family member in late February 2020, no bread offered at the table - could this possibly be to encourage the ordering of more tapas dishes??- and the tapas portion sizes appeared to have shrunk even further - five tiny calamares rings in tempura batter totally lost in a tapas dish!!! There is far better value to be had elsewhere in Mijas Pueblo.

we were hunting for a nice restaurant with good food and service. We hadn't booked (highly recommend that you do) but the team managed to work it and we had our table. The choice of food is excellent ranging from a great choice of Tapas to larger main dishes. We decided to opt for a range of Tapas dishes between us as starters. All were superb, some of the best dishes we had eaten. Mains did not disappoint either. The desserts were all home made and of a great standard (choc fondant!) Service, wine and attentiveness were all great - highly recommended and we will certainly return and will make sure we book well ahead.

We live in Marbella, go to Mijas for Lunch quite often. Koco Bistro serve exellent tapas, so the food is the reason for us going there..However,the service has recently been totally hopeless, especially one of the waiters is rude and unfriendly and we sincerely hope he will be fired soon.If the service improves we will certainly be back!

Having booked several days ahead following recommendations, and had a superb meal the night before at another Mijas restaurant, we were looking forward to our first trip to Koco, However all of us came away really disappointed. The food, was ok but nothing special, the service was slow ,there half an hour and no one even offered us a drink, so we had to ask , cocktail eventually came after we had finished our starters and didn't taste right, mentioned to waiter who confirmed not as normal, but still charged full price. That waiter pleasant but most of them quite surly and didn't even say anything as dishes put on table, or on paying at desk., and there was at times strong words between themselves creating an atmosphere. We waited 25 minutes after main courses but weren't offered coffees or deserts, about to leave when menus appeared, one of us had a sweet and so poor wished hadn't bothered. Been in Spain almost 2 weeks , eat out every day and Koco easily bottom of the places we tried.

Just arrived in Mijas Pueblo at 10pm and our host recommended eating here. Walking up to it we knew we were not going to be disappointed - terrace had heat lamps on and lots of people were eating and enjoying themselves. Seemed to be the only place open in the immediate vicinity (it was February I guess). Lovely menu and tapas and good local wines. Excellent service. Certainly would return.
