Every time I go back to Columbia I have to stop in Flat Branch! It has the best food and, of course, beer in town. I always recommend getting the sampler to try as many of their beers as possible, from Green Chile to the classic Blond Ale, they are fantastic! Delicious food, though my favorite has to be the... Very popular restaurant, so it stays pretty busy (even on non-game days). Be prepared to wait. The food is pretty good and pretty good value for money. I can't say the service is amazing since the restaurant is so busy the wait staff seem to stretched pretty thin.

This place has a great atmospher and is fun if you like "fancy" beer! If you're just hungry, it's got a creative menu. We visited twice in two days! My husband ordered the Ultimate Grilled Cheese and it was delicious! It's loaded up with cheddar, provolone, adobo pork, bacon and pico de gallo. YUM! I insisted on the dessert that... More

My girlfriend and I went to Flat Branch to celebrate our December birthdays. We had the Cobb salad which over flowed the plate and was way more than we could eat. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is very good as well as prices.

I enjoy the food here and we eat here fairly often. It's got a great atmosphere. I'm not a huge fan of their beers but others disagree. This seems to be the most popular place in town so the wait can be extraordinary at peak hours. We will often pop by here first and, if the wait is to long,... More

In Columbia for Christmas, had the chance to eat at Flat Branch twice -- once for lunch, once for dinner. Atmosphere was great; food was varied, tasty and plentiful; beer was good; prices were fair; bathrooms were clean; and wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Really couldn't ask for more. Only negative: house white wines sold by the glass were... More

Went there after a college graduation and the staff was super at handling our large group. Food and drinks were great. Service was a little slow but there were several large groups there all at once.

Visiting my niece who is a student at Missou, she recommended Flat Branch. We waited in a lovely Fall decorated courtyard for about 25 minutes. I ordered three Bloody Marys from the bar and brought outside for us to enjoy. I would suggest a waitor take drink orders for those outside. The bar was very busy. Once seated, we enjoyed... More

I met with some family members at this place when visiting Columbia. They have an excellent menu, with a variety of items for all appetites. We started with an order of their onion rings, which were excellent. For my entree, I had their pizza and it was well crafted...fresh ingredients and very tasty. I also ordered their beer sampler, which... More

Gold Medal winner for Best Overall Restaurant the last six years, Inside Columbia Magazine Best of Columbia readers poll!

Flat Branch Pub & Brewing opened its doors on April 18, 1994 in historic downtown Columbia Missouri. The pub gets its name from a nearby creek which was the water source for Columbia's first settlers. Flat Branch was Columbia's first brewery since 1841. The pub occupies a 1927 brick warehouse with a curved, barrel-trussed roof that was once a Hudson car dealership.

We offer a diverse menu as well as award-winning hand-crafted beers on tap. Enjoy your stay in the upscale industrial setting of our restaurant, on our spacious outdoor patio, or belly up to Columbia's largest bar. Our fresh handmade food compliments our brews while still being delicious enough to stand on its own. Try traditional pub favorites like Catfish and Chips or Bratwurst and Kraut, or perhaps our signature Charbroiled Romaine Salad. Enjoy your meal with our in-house baked breads and desserts. After dinner, sip one of our many single malt scotches or small batch bourbons may be just the thing to wrap up an excellent evening.

The managers and staff at Flat Branch Pub & Brewing are committed to providing the best food, beer, service and value in the Midwest.
