When we roll into Columbia to visit family, our go-to place is Flat Branch. I love the beer menu, the appetizers and the entrees are great. I've never left hungry or thirsty.

Great food and great patio- expect a wait though! Good selection of food! I would recommend the cat fish or the pizza!

My family and I visit Flat Branch often. The food is decent but not exceptional--soup is often salty or, dare I say, experimental--but the atmosphere is lovely. Indoors has a converted-loft feel, good for conversations although sometimes a bit noisy, and their outside patio is one of the more pleasant places in Columbia to dine al fresco.

We have been patronizing Flat Branch since it opened. Funny: even with all of the microbreweries that have opened in Columbia, somehow I find the beer here more consistently satisfying, and they've kept the pace. I always find something worthwhile on the menu, and they change it just frequently enough to keep things interesting. Their pizzas are sneakily great (a... More

We have been to the Flat Branch several times now and have never been disappointed, While there seems to be a great number of micro breweries opening these past several years, Flat Branch has been around since 1994. While the beer selection is great (you can choose from about 12 on tap) there is also wine and cocktails available. And... More

Stopped in for a quick lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Had a delicious sandwich and it came with an abundant choice of sides... get the green beans! The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. One caution... there was a LONG wait when we left, so get there early or call ahead!

Anytime we get a chance to eat at a locally owned restaurant during our travels we jump at it. This did not disappoint. The Oil Change Stout was delicious- zero bitterness, creamy and chocolatey. We had bangers and mash, shepherds pie, and the kids both had brats. It was such a welcome change from road food, everything was delicious. If... More

5th Street Sandwich.....this sandwich is a no doubter. A pork tenderloin sandwich with high quality bacon and swiss cheese, this thing was delicious! This was my first trip to Flat Branch and everything was great, the food, the atmosphere. It was a Monday night but the place was buzzing, the wait staff was going everywhere and up for the challenge.... More

If the weather is good, eat on the patio. The atmosphere is good inside and out. I love the soft pretzel as an appetizer. Everything is good on the menu. Flat Branch is a must when visiting Columbia.

Description
Gold Medal winner for Best Overall Restaurant the last six years, Inside Columbia Magazine Best of Columbia readers poll!

Flat Branch Pub & Brewing opened its doors on April 18, 1994 in historic downtown Columbia Missouri. The pub gets its name from a nearby creek which was the water source for Columbia's first settlers. Flat Branch was Columbia's first brewery since 1841. The pub occupies a 1927 brick warehouse with a curved, barrel-trussed roof that was once a Hudson car dealership.

We offer a diverse menu as well as award-winning hand-crafted beers on tap. Enjoy your stay in the upscale industrial setting of our restaurant, on our spacious outdoor patio, or belly up to Columbia's largest bar. Our fresh handmade food compliments our brews while still being delicious enough to stand on its own. Try traditional pub favorites like Catfish and Chips or Bratwurst and Kraut, or perhaps our signature Charbroiled Romaine Salad. Enjoy your meal with our in-house baked breads and desserts. After dinner, sip one of our many single malt scotches or small batch bourbons may be just the thing to wrap up an excellent evening.

The managers and staff at Flat Branch Pub & Brewing are committed to providing the best food, beer, service and value in the Midwest.
