We frequent Cafe Sol when we are in troncones. Their ice cream is delicious and refreshing. Their breakfasts are very good - our kids went there about every morning for breakfast. And the upstairs restaurant and bar makes TOP NOTCH pizza. One night we even went as a group of 16 (they take reservations for big groups) and the service... More

Cafe Pacifico is our go to place for breakfast and lunch. We can't wait for them to open again for dinner as we missed their fish tacos very much. Soothing and welcoming atmosphere and fresh ingredients and done at the spot juices and smoothies. Also delicious gelato! Always happy to visit.

Nice cool breeze up high in evening. Great sunset view. Washroom location and sewage smell at base of stairs not great. Some American style dishes. Take credit cards! Bakery downstairs is super!

Watched the last game of the World series here - the game was great, but the pizza was even better as was the salad. Bought some brownies from their bakery for later, and they were good too. Oh yeah, there were chocolate chip cookies, too. Deserts can be an issue in Mexico, so this was a real bonus.

The food upstairs is ok & can satisfy a large range of culinary preferences. But the big TV's are always blaring sports so it's not a very pleasant place to have a conversation. The wait staff is indifferent, at best.

My wife and I shared an omelette with cheese and green chiles and a stack of pancakes. The cafe was really cute, and service was quick compared to previous restaurants. The food was really good, I'm tempted to come back again and try the chilequiles and the huevos rancheros. Two pots of coffee, an omelette, stack of pancakes, bottled water,... More

Delicious food! My first time here, I was lucky to walk in right as a batch of chocolate chip cookies was coming out of the oven. I got a cookie and some ice cream, both of which were amazing. Came back a few days later for brunch with some friends. They made good chilaquiles and their coffee was satisfyingly strong.... More

During our week stay in Troncones, our kids make at least 3 trips to Café Sol for smoothies and gelato. Easy to find in Troncones.
