I need to eat but I want good food and especially service with a smile, I have attended Niecie's on more than one occasion and highly recommend everything on the menu. Love the chicken, love the fish and the veggies are a delight. One item stands above all the rest... Jesus Juice, Ms. Laura's brand of lemonade that is off... More

The biggest chicken wings I have ever seen. We ate breakfast there three days in a row. They remembered our names when we walked in. Excellent food and excellent service. If we get to Kansas City again, we will definitely go there to eat.

Holy wow! The chicken fried steak - one of the best things I've ever eaten, the greens and oh lord the peach cobbler! Food is fantastic and made with love. So worth the drive- reminds me of my granny's home cooking. A must see when visiting Kansas City or if you're local- totally check it out!

Was looking for fried chicken and came across Niecie's. They were running a 2 piece fried chicken with two sides and roll or corn bread for 4.99. Tough to go wrong there. The 2 dark pieces were pretty small. The crust and seasoning were good. You could tell it had been cooked ahead of time and was sitting under a... More

I've been to Niece's twice now with a Friday lunch group. It's at 63rd and Troost, a part of town many would be averse to visiting. More's the pity for them. The staff is happy and inviting, the place is as clean as any you'd want to enter, and the food is pretty authentic, very good and reasonably priced. They... More

Whilst visiting family in KC my daughter suggested dinner at Neicie's. Slightly restricted but very interesting menu. Where else in the US can I get oxtail or pork neck? But very well cooked and extremely reasonable price. Nice to get away from the burger+fries.

I love good soul food but Niecie's is GREAT soul food! Everything was served just right, even just before closing time. Down-home people serving down-home food in a family-owned restaurant. Definitely on my repeat list! The sweet potatoes are heavenly!!
