First call ahead because there is a good chance you need a reservation. This place is so adorable. It is filled with little tables and tea sets. There were at least 20 types of tea along with soups, salads and about 5 choices for meals that all sounded good. They also have sweets if you are just popping in.

Another of St. Joseph's historic homes houses a wonderful restaurant. The hostesses were absolutely delightfu with a great sense of humor. I had the chicken enchilada, which was served in a bowl. The presentation was unique, and the food delicious! The portions were just right, and the desert was to die for! The tables are set with linens and antique... More

Three friends and I drove to St. Joe today to have lunch at this lovely Tea House. The decor is tasteful and fits the gothic architecture setting the mood for a relaxed time with friends. The food was wonderful! I had the chicken salad filled with chicken, romaine, mandarin oranges, pea pods and lightly drizzled ginger/mandarin orange dressing. It was... More

What a cool place-owner restored and has decorated lovingly-very eclectic Lunch is "whatever she felt like making that morning!" with the best scones to pass your lips as the first course, great entrée selection-but only offering 2-3 choices, followed by delicious desserts. Great small, intimate atmosphere. Definitely worth the trip downtown!

Recommended that we have a lunch here and it was worth visiting. We had hoped to eat by the river but that was not possible so we ate out on the back verandah. Highly recommend.

Yes, it's not in a "good" location of town. But it sure is fun to walk in and have "teatime". Yes, it's a limited menu; however what they fix is good and presented on beautiful china in a great atmosphere. Great for small gatherings and just getting out with the girlfriends.

Needed to find lunch before a business meeting and happened upon Gothic Tea House for a pleasant surprise. An old, Gothic style house, redecorated as a lovely tea room down to cloth napkins and lace curtains. From the light, freshly-baked scones with lemon curd, to the delicious lunches we enjoyed, this stop was a nice highlight. He had the roast... More

The quiche is fabulous and the teas will convert anyone who is a coffee lover. The decor is like going back in time. It is the most inviting and relaxing eatery that I have ever visited. The food, service and surroundings are wonderful. The scones are some of the best that I've eaten.
