It was winter season so few choices in town but The Cowboy just across the bridge from our hotel was a good choice. The special was house made meatloaf. They were individual portions shaped like a bread roll. Had a choice of Elk or Buffalo so we had one of each. Both were very tasty and moist.

We stopped in here in June of 2015, for a quick lunch on our way from Billings to West Yellowstone. Being that we both like wild game, we decided to get the bison and elk burgers and share them. Both were amazing! The fries were a good mix of what my husband and I both like - I like them... More

Very friendly and attentive. The pork chop sandwich is awesome. For dessert they had homemade peach cobbler and ice cream.

While staying in Gardiner, MT, we stopped at the Cowboy Lodge and Grill to eat dinner. I had a buffalo burger and fries. It was delicious! I would highly recommend trying it. It was very close to our lodging also.

Good portions, well seasoned. BBQ meats were tender. Try the ribs, but THE BAKED BEANS ARE AWESOME!!

Our tour ran late, It was past closing, They said " happy to stay open for you", so you know the service was better than great! The food we have a family of four and the food came out fast and just the way each of us wanted. Thank you for a job well done

Our title says it all. We've eaten lots of brisket in our lives and this by far was the worst of the worst. Not only tough, but lacked any flavor and the gravy was bland too. Told the waitress and she said the brisket is usually good, one of her favorites and she would tell the cook, but there was... More

During the off-season winter period, the restaurant choices in Gardiner, MT (at the north entrance to Yellowstone NP) are very limited, with most "closed for the season". Using Trip Advisor, we identified this restaurant as an alternative to the Yellowstone Mine which is adjacent to the Best Western Hotel where we were staying. Nothing wrong with the latter (which I... More

If you're after a sophisticated restaurant with french style cuisine - forget it but if what you want is good food and plenty of with a cold beer and great service, this is what this place offers. Thoroughly recommended.

They were really super busy the night we stopped in to eat but the service was still excellent. It did take a while to get our food because of the large crowd but our waiter was constantly checking on us making sure we were doing good and updating us on our food. Food was all very tasty and exactly how... More
