Great place for either tea or coffee and good eats. On the funky side, but always friendly. Just be sure to have cash, they don't take cards. However their ATM has the best fee in town.

Butterfly Herbs is located in downtown Missoula. It's a small shop that has bulk tea and many kinds of coffee. The gifts include something for everyone, I always do some of my Christmas shopping there. Love the essence of this small shop.

We were browsing this wonderful tea-herbs store--wonderful bulk tea, spices, coffees and unique gifts -- when we discovered a small coffee shop in the back. The coffee is superb, and they offer a great variety of bagels, muffins and other pastries. It's clearly a favorite of locals - is said to be the oldest expresso shop in Missoula. Friendly folks,... What a wonderful little shop. We were looking for a good place to purchase whole coffee beans, but found much more! They offer a wall full of different teas, spices, herbs, etc. Along with a counter of candy, bins of coffee, and many other items. It was so much fun to peruse the amazing selection of... everything! We walked out... More

A neat gift shop with a great selection of coffees and teas, this shop has been there since 1972. Just the place to pick up a local treasure to take home.

This is a great shop for anyone that drinks teas or coffee's, likes to cook or just enjoys unique culinary experiences. The aroma alone is enticing enough to draw you in the door. Every nook & corner offers something.

Butterfly Herbs is a longstanding Missoula hangout which was formerly housed at the Hipstrip, but has been downtown Missoula for several decades. It is the original Missoula coffee shop and sells specialty herbs, candies, cards, soaps, jewelry, candles, drinks & simple meals and many surprises visitors will want to see.

Not all that much as a restaurant, but GREAT coffee and delectable pastries. The store is the big draw, with coffee beans and teas (including several of its own, like "Evening in Missoula") from all over, as well as an excellent selection of herbs & spices. Lots of interesting stuff upon which you can empty your wallet for decorating home... More

This was a great place for a coffee in the afternoon. Everything reminded me of the 70/s and 80's. Excellent collection of loose teas, coffee, spices and herbs.
