Had a fabulous extended family lunch here on Sunday 3rd December. The food was excellent, the service very good, and the general atmosphere was great. Would thoroughly recommend this pub as a great place to eat and enjoy convivial surroundings.

We have a great evening meal at The White Hart - there was a good range of homemade food on the menu and the portion sizes were just right! Welcoming and friendly staff too - especially Ally who served and looked after us on the...evening. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back - thank you :-)More
We popped in for lunch on a quiet Friday, having read about their homemade food. It was hard to choose from a really great menu, but we eventually chose a couple of their signature dishes. The food arrived in good time and was absolutely delicious,...the service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We'll be definitely be back to try a few more dishes!More
Food was amazing Ali waiter was brilliant Highly recommend You will not be disappointed best meal I had in along time Thank you
Visited this lovely old pub this evening. I wasn't feeling particularly hungry so opted for the mushroom soup followed by rice pudding, both delicious. The staff are really lovely and the chef Wendy an absolute star. We'll be back!
We go here quite often as we are always guaranteed an excellent experience BUT on this occasion it was above and beyond. We took our 2 brothers in law as they asked to go here as have been here with us before. I found out...later it was a night we had our great grandson who is only two and a half so a fussy eater and on top of this is type 1 diabetic. A phone all to the pub with a very unusual request for 2 sausage and 100 gms of COLD beans lol This was not an issue AT ALL for them and we all had an amazing time. Even went to the trouble of bringing paper and pens for Noah to stop him being bored. Nothing was too much trouble and he loved all the attention. Thank you again White Hart from me, my husband, my 2 brothers in law and my great grandson for a fabulous dining experience x x x x xMore
So as I approached my landmark year I obviously wanted to share the occasion with family and friends. A total of 25 guests over two nights. I put all of my eggs in one basket and organised a double booking at the White Hart –...one for a family night and one for a friend’s night. As both parties included professional chefs, foodies, vegetarians and “fussies”, I was naturally a little apprehensive about how it would go on both nights even though we had successfully visited the White Hart on previous occasions. I needn’t have worried. If you want a warm and friendly welcome from helpful staff whether you are a returning guest or a first timer then look no further. On both occasions we were treated to exceptional service with a sense of humour in a traditional English pub with great food. The beer is lovely too! We were able to choose from a wide variety of dishes from an extensive menu which was served piping hot and with generous portions. We were impressed by the efficiency of the whole experience on both occasions. Nothing was too much trouble from all concerned and many people from our friends and family commented to us about how much they had enjoyed the evening. As a result, my wife has subsequently booked the White Hart for the annual WI Christmas Dinner. Well done to all at the White Hart!More
Friendly staff, great vibe. Drinks were swiftly brought to our table. Waiter was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Food from starters to desserts were tasty, good presentation and sizeable portions. Impressive menu to suit all tastes. All diners were friendly and a few chats...were had across the room. The restaurant was full but we were never waiting for waiter attention. This was our first time there, it will not be our last especially as we were told about the fantastic Sunday roasts ! We had a call to warn us about roadworks and road closures with directions to get us safely there . Great atmosphere and staff. Must also mention Harry and William, resident boxers x The bill was agreeable too , very happy diners xMore

My favourite restaurant. Great menu Great food Great service 10 out of 10 for everything I could not rate this pub/restaurant high enough.
We came here on Thursday evening to celebrate a friends birthday on a recommendation from said friends husband who had called in for lunch recently. A lovely “proper” pub, we were shown to our table by a lovely young girl, who was attentive, smiley and...helpful from start to finish. The food was beautiful, this is not “pub grub” but real, home cooked food which tasted fantastic and was presented beautifully. We were told by the chef to leave room for pudding so of course we had to follow orders! These too were just lovely, I thoroughly enjoyed the Biscoff Cheesecake but I did have serious food envy over my friends Sherry Trifle which she said was amazing! We couldn’t fault a thing, the people were lovely and we were made very welcome. My evening was made when we were allowed to meet the two gorgeous dogs before we left! All in all a wonderful evening and I can’t wait to return for that Sherry Trifle! 😄More
