The best restaurant in this part of Slovenia. Nearing perfection in all aspects - tastes, presentation, ambient. The main dish (combination of smoked steak, pork knuckle, mushrooms...) was an embodiment of how autumn tastes. Perfect choice for special occasions. Must visit!

If you visit Slovenia, this is MUST DO. For 3 hours of excellent food (5-6 course) and vine tasting in a beautiful interior we paid very fair price. Experience you don't find every day. Highly recommended!

I'm still amazed by everything about this place. The interior, the service, the food, the owner who is super cool! Everything is just so good! You don't even need teeth because food is just melting in your mouth! It's so good! We had a great time, and enjoyed every minute of it :) :) Definitely coming back when able :)

First visit to Slovenia, inspired by the Netflix series on great chefs. Our first visit was at Hisa Franko ( see review), but the next day we travelled 200 km east to Kungota and stayed at Valdhuber apartments. The reception recommended us Hisa Denk and reserved a table for us. This was the place i tried to reserve to stay... More

Grega Vračko is older brother of another chef, David. Denjk is situated nearby Austrian border, in a kind of outback. I still remember the old restaurant house.....tipical far-out village gasthaus....The new adition is very minimalistic and contemporary modern architecture...Nevermind, the food at Denk was always modern, but not very minimalistic...nor in portions, nor at taste...Actually, it always was local and... The first impression of this restaurant by surprise, modern contemporary house in the middle of the village. It is essential to book for lunch or dinner. Food contemporary worth a Michelin star. Good waiter explains that these contents: It can be improved wine offer at the table.Otherwise 5 +.. Chef Gregor Vračko perfectionist

Things have changed completely at Denk. Instead of a mixed small culinary retreat for a gourmet and a hall for fried schnitzel & calamari bus tourists, the new setup is fitted for a top restaurant with seven high quality guestrooms and an exemplary well sized kitchen. It's now all very modern and quite posh, with careful attention to detail everywhere,... More
