We had such a lovely lunch. We were offered the window seat table which was perfect for my 16 month old who usually likes to roam around places. She just enjoyed looking out of the window when not eating from the high chair. The food...More

Booked a table for 4 and 2 dogs for my friend's birthday. We had a warm welcome with treats for the dogs, which mine has now come to expect! Our meals were perfectly cooked and we can all highly recommend the gammon steak with duck...More

My son in law booked here for my daughters birthday as they have been several times before and enjoyed it . It is a 45 min drive for us but worth it , a very large varied and unusual menu . Everything was freshly cooked...More

Very good meal even though restaurant was very busy. Owner managed to get us a table, but should have specified that I wanted a table in the restaurant area rather than bar area when booking. Moved to restaurant quite quickly.

As locals we visit regularly, but this popular village pub can be disappointing. Service is always excellent and friendly, but the large through-put of diners means that corners are sometimes cut. Roasts are good, but the spongy Yorkshire Puddings, while looking the part, are soggy....More

Heaving as always which speaks volumes but as normal great food and service. Our table had a selection of starters, mains and desserts and all were fantastic.

Proof that just because a venue is busy is not an excuse for poor service. The Fox & duck is busy whenever we visit and the service is consistently great, cheery and helpful. The pub has a lovely warm atmosphere and an equally lovely location...More
