Excellent value and food cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous. The potatoes and vegetables were just right.

Visited for lunch before & after Christmas 2018. Food consistently good. Staff consistently attentive. Good portion sizes, interesting menu, lovely surroundings. My only criticism is that it would be nice to have a guest ale, rather than Sheps'.

Great pub, great food! And most importantly the landlord really does go the extra mile to give his waitresses the five star experience.

We had a family get together at the Carpenters Arms today. The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. It is a local pub/restaurant to us and never disappoints us with it's excellence. Probably our best local eatery.

Particularly good Sunday lunch with good tasty portions and a very nice attitude to helping our older guest into the pub. Nice to see a couple of other dishes on the menu for those not wanting Sunday lunch. Our visitors eat out every Sunday lunch...More

Had an excellent meal and drinks in this well run pub. The service was friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our meals to be served. The cost overall was very reasonable. We would certainly recommend a visit.

We have eaten at this pub restaurant earlier in the year and was quite empressed , this time the staff were ok not as engaging as before but efficient enough, the whole place seemed a little tired. The food was ok at best, our friends...More

It’s a small pub with tight but nice eating area. I think I would ask the pub directly or wait til summer months and graphics a nice outside table. Good luck and Happy New Year
