A lovely building in awesome position. Could be buzzing with an owner who actually cared. Shepherd Neame obviously don't. Usual very overpriced, poor ale selection (Anyone who has drank SN ale will know what I mean) Food, also overpriced, ready in a ping, tho 2...More

Right on the beach, lovely place for a drink. But ….mediocre food, seemingly untrained staff - an adequate meal if you expect adequate. Will certainly come again for a drink. Not for food! Better choices in Deal.

We phoned that morning and we were kindly fitted in for a late lunch. The staff were friendly and very attentive. My guest and I had Jerk Sole Fillet which was delicious. The two other diners had the Steak Pie and Vegetarian Quiche which they...More

We were on our way to Pegwell Bay, but friends had said to go to The Zetland Arms, as it's on the Beach & it is. There is only a Small Car Park, so get there early or Park back out on the Road. The...More

On Thursday, 4 of us walked from St Margarets to Kingsdown, and we booked to have lunch at 12.30pm. The weather was perfect, a hot warm day. We had arrived at 12.10pm, and we asked if we could sit outside, although we had booked inside....More

We had been looking forward to our visit to the Zetland Arms for a long time. Our plan was to walk along the beach from Deal there but the awful early summer weather put a stop to that. We got a taxi so we could...More

Staying for a week nearby and the Zetland Arms looked a homely English pub. Very disappointed by the lack of atmosphere, indifferent service by poorly trained staff and mediocre food. The carbonade was very salty and the sate was basically a lump of chicken with...More

Delicous food and good service, the sea bass was excellent and also the Fish Cowder. What was most disturbing was the lack of face masks worn by the bar and waiting staff who were all young so unlikely to have received their Covid vaccines! All...More

It is open. It depends on whether you want a meal or a drink, as I believe they are doing xmas meals but they have been booked well in advance. I suggest you give them a quick ring.

inside is cramped and outside is on a stony beach. However some of the external tables are near the parking spaces (which are limited). There are a few seating places directly outside the Pub which are more accessible. So... More
