Enjoyed a very good fried chicken dinner with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. Thousand Island for the salad also tasted homemade. Large hand patted hamburgers- a little overdone, but very flavorful. New bathrooms that were sorely needed! Thank you for that! Taxidermied animals abound. Fascinating but not quite PC.

We pulled off I-80 and stumbled into Ole's for lunch. Today's special (roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans was delicious. The hostess was very friendly despite there being quite a crowd. Seems to be popular with locals as well as travelers.

We were recommended to stop here by someone that previously lived in Nebraska. WHAT A TREAT!!! Lots of stuffed animals with interesting info on the walls. Had great food too. When we stopped we had a chili burger and the daily special of meat loaf---WOW---both were excellent along with super service. This is a one of a kind restaurant that... More

Not one to miss an opportunity, "Ole" opened his tavern on the very day Prohibition ended, 9 September 1933. Apparently Ole and his buddies liked to sit around drinking and bragging about their hunting prowess. Ole's Big Game Steakhouse evolved. CAUTION: If the presence of a couple of dozen taxidermied trophy critters is going to ruin your meal, don't eat... More

We've been to Ole's several times, but this was the first trip with the kids. They loved all the animals and it made for a good memory for the trip. Food was fine. Not the best we've ever had, but far better than your average small town restaurant. Updated bathrooms were nice and clean. It's a good spot if your... More

Stopped for lunch on a cross country road trip. We usually only eat one meal on the road as we have a camper. The food was really good! My husband loved the onion rings and chili Mac burger. I had a chicken strip salad which was good too. The chicken looked freshly lightly breaded and was tasty. Staff is very... More

My son and I were returning from a trip to Colorado, and we decided to eat a late lunch at Ole’s, which is a favorite of ours that we’ve been visiting for nearly 30 years. The place has wood paneled walls, with hardwood floors, a long bar (see picture), and hundreds of mounted animals that the original owner hunted from... More

This is an interesting place that from reading about I had to see in person. The trophy mounts are genuine and nicely displayed and Beautiful. We dropped in for breakfast and they serve some excellent biscuits and sausage gravy! The french toast my partner had, not so much, it was cold when served. Service was not all that good, but... It took over 45 minutes to get a seat at 2 in the afternoon. There was a lot of people waiting. I guess there are only 2 restaurants in this small town. There were a lot of open tables but no bus people to clean them up. Finally, I presume the manager (which was working behind the bar) finally decided... More
