Visited for an evening meal tonight and was pleasantly surprised in how it has kept the old charm in Bar and Restaurant. Food was excellent with a good menu choice and a daily change of specials at reasonable prices. Staff couldn't be more helpful BUT watch your head on all doorways if over about 5ft 9in.

Many thanks for visiting and taking the time to review our village pub. So pleased you had such a great experience until you forgot to duck on the way out!! I don't have that problem, only being 5ft 7in (with my heels on) We look forward to welcoming you back when you are next in the area, along with your... More

Whilst staying in Earith we stumbled upon this very quaint old fashioned pub with restaurant. Not only were we made welcome by both staff and customers alike the food was that good we returned the following night for valentines and very nearly went a third night. Will definitely visit again when we are over there.

Little has changed at this pub over the passed 25 years or more. You are always assured of a warm welcome whether you are a Colne villager or from further afield. As an independent pub, the range of ale on offer is a good enough reason to drop in. The pub caters for a range of customers by offering a... More

Our W.I. visited again this month for our annual post Christmas lunch. We had all pre-ordered and took advantage of the 2 or 3 course meal deal. Food was delicious and staff coped brilliantly with our large number.

We were there for an early Xmas meal with family. It was 10 of us in total and we enjoyed the food and the cosy atmosphere very much. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. The price was good too. The portions are huge-make sure you are hungry before going or you may not have room for dessert!

We are so pleased you had such an enjoyable Christmas family meal. Out in the country you don't want people going away hungry any time, let alone at Christmas time. Thank you for choosing the Green Man for your family meal and also for taking the time to write such a favorable review. More

Sunday lunch was a real treat in a nice cosy pub not far from Cambridge. Good selection of English beers and wines. Enjoys the roast beef with Yorkshire puddings. Meat was perfect served with vegetables and horseradish. Yorkshire puddings were a bit over cooked. Place had great ambiance and such nice staff that gave a good service. Tried 3 English... More

Many thanks for you review, and especially your comments with regards to the ambiance and staff. We strive hard to provide exactly what you said and it is nice to see that reviews form yourself and others show we are maintaining that standard. Going forward if only for my small Achilles heel the dreaded homemade Yorkshire puddings come back to... More

A small village pub with old world charm and character. Has a wide range of real ales as well as the more traditional cask ale. The menu is very good and in my view covered all tastes, and at a very reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. If possible I would recommend you book... More

Has a deserved reputation for serving a fine and varied array of well kept local and national real ales, which change weekly. Convivial atmosphere and no frills delivery.. Good pub food at very decent prices to boot.

Premises very clean, the landlord served our drinks then the young waitress looked after us. Very pleasant and gave a very good service. We were all impressed. 1. Battered cod was very good. Batter crispy, cod very good. 2. Steak and kidney pudding. Pudding huge and packed with tender meat. Very good. 3. Chargrilled lamb steak was delicious and cooked... More
