Traditional Basque steakhouse, not to be confused with a chain steakhouse. All the steaks are grilled to perfection, and huge. The Caesar salad is the best, and each meal comes with a table full of sides, including green beans, spaghetti, fries, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting.Served in what I'm guessing is a traditional Basque setting in large festive rooms. This place is fantastic.Great food.

Bring a heavy appetite and be prepared for tons of delicious food!! The side dishes that they bring out seem to be mass produced and bland. Two others in my group agreed with me on this. But the main dishes of meat that you order are excellent. Over-all I would definitely go back again.

What a fun place to visit! The food is amazing and certainly plentiful. Highly recommend. We had the special bacon wrapped filet. It was a good 12oz. All the sides you could possibly want served family style.

Start with a Picon Punch (picon is a Spanish orange liqueur; layered with brandy, grenadine on top and a twist of lemon peel in a special Picon glass), finsh with flan (very creamy and smooth). In between, I doubt Joey Chestnut could finish dinner. The T-bone is more like a porterhouse (eat the filet side and take the rest home).... More

This place is great! My later father was familiar with the Basque-style meals and atmosphere served at other Basque restaurants in northern Nevada, namely in the Reno and Carson City regions. He visited them from time to time as a kid with his parents -- his mother was half Spanish Basque and Washiw/Paiute. He always told me about them and... More

I had no idea how much food was going to be served....save up your appetite! It was all very good and luckily we were able to take leftovers home. I do feel like it was served too fast.

Great family style Basque Restraunt. Soup and house salad dressing are amazing. If you love garlic this is the place.

I've never had a Basque dinner that I did not enjoy and the Star Hotel offers one of the best. Make sure you are hungry before you go the portions are huge. We loved the salad, soup and bread that started the meal. To be honest, my mom and I could have been very happy with just soup and salad... More

While spending one night in Elko, NV we decided to try this Basque restaurant. If you're vegan or vegetarian, probably you should make another choice. Meat in the form of beef, lamb and pork are the featured menu items. This family style restaurant serves up an abundance of dishes highly flavored with garlic. The salad dressing in particular has a... More
