My colleague told me to check out El Sombrero because it "may be the best Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas" but after eating there I think he may have misspoke because this may be the best Mexican restaurant in the world. I've eaten Mexican food all over the USA, various countries in Europe, and, of course, Mexico. The ingredients here... More

We were hangry looking for a quick stop before our show at the Smith Center when we saw the sign. Desperate for anything we decided to give it a go, we were pleasantly surprised! The place is small but super cute, that waiter was attentive and helpful and the food fantastic!!! I think the sangria I had was my all... More

My partner and I had dinner twice at this hidden gem during our visit to Vegas. Both meals were delicious and we would highly recommend the bacon-wrapped shrimp, pot belly tacos and the homemade salsa! Shout out to José our waiter who provided us with great service!

second visit - was a bit disappointed and not wowed like the first - seems they are trying too hard to be nouvelle mexican and not honor the traditional menus

Great food, service and margaritas. Small cute place. Reservations highly suggested. Hope to visit again. Thanks Jose and El Sombrero!

I went here on a Travelzoo voucher. Even at that price, it was too expensive. The service was friendly. The interior of the place was clean and modernized (as best that they could do on budget and with what they had to work with). Actually, it seemed very clean. The men's room was apparently redone, but picture early gasoline station,... More

The outside of the building retains the old style decor from when the restaurant first opened many years ago, however the inside has been updated. We did not get the opportunity to visit prior to the newer owners and remodel, however we enjoyed our meals of tamal de carne and enchilada de carne, both with shredded brisket. We also liked... The chips and salsa are brought to your table when you arrived and both seem to be freshly made and that starts the dining experience. The atmosphere is quaint and unassuming and the staff is friendly. You will most probably recognize most of the menu items if you have a history of eating Mexican Food but the quality is a... More

My wife and I ate here using a Travelzoo voucher. Immediately, our waiter began to have a bad attitude towards us, and was very unfriendly and disrespectful. On top of the lousy service, the food was way overpriced, and it wasn't even that good! We live in Texas and take our Mexican food seriously. The food here was average at... More

Great margaritas. Watermelon margarita and Cadillac margarita were great. Delicious food! Super cute small restaurant. Service was amazing! Will definitely come back!
