we had lunch here Saturday the food was ok. We got mixed drinks a margarita and a pina colada that did not taste like anything.... the waitress was nice enough to take them back and have bar tender fix them.. My friend had the taquitos and they were great, I liked my chicken salad and it was also ok.

Staying at the Venetian we wanted a restaurant that we could walk to. This restaurant is located on "the canal" so you can enjoy the view and the singing of the gondoliers. The menu said "Mexico City" cooking and the dishes were prepared a little different that what we are use to but that was OK. Chile rellanos encrusted in... More

We have the best Mexican food at Las Vegas in this nice restaurant. Good food variety, nice wine list and very awesome service provided by our server Marco.

On the advice of a friend, I went here for lunch while in Vegas on business. This was absolutely the best possible choice. Started with chips/salsa/guacamole (no free chips/salsa here; you pay for them) and this was delicious. Fresh chips, good homemade salsa with a bit of heat to it, and clearly homemade fresh guac. I got the beef enchiladas... More

unfortunately yet an other place where they don't intend that customer come back again! Cava in the bottle ordered is way to warm - no cold one available! Bread to be ordered separately and takes ages to arrive! Espresso is nothing else as regular Coffee served in a espresso mug - still laughing about this joke! service does not make... More

when you eat at one of the mid-priced restaurants in the Venetian, it's usually middle of the road. I had a wonderful meal, sitting on the canal, at Canonita. Highly recommend the salmon and plaintains. Also the jalapeno margarita was YUM-city.

A nice, solid restaurant with great Mexican food. Not too expensive, good canal side location. Good for large groups. Enjoy the margaritas!

Looking for a "neat" place to grab a bite - find Taqueria Canonita - inside The Venetian Hotel. Ask for a table next to the canal. As you dine - wide variety of Mexican food & what we had was very good --- you can watch the Gondolas maneuver their ways through the canal. You get the feeling that you... More

We had lunch here and were surprised to see that they accommodate our requests and changed the menu as one of our companions had some dietary restrictions. I ordered the taco sampler which came with 5 different tacos and it was delicious and well served. The fajitas were also very well prepared. As appetizers the queso fundido is always a... More

Stylized Mexican food, okay but not excellent. Overpriced. The chili rellenos are good - but preferred the recipe of several years ago (stuffed with goat cheese which was EXCEPTIONAL). This time, ordered Patzcuaro Duck Relleno Canela and orange duck confit, savory manchamantel sauce, Mexican crema 13. It was an appetizer, but plenty for me. Above average in flavor. We were... Bringing to mind the authentic taquerias of the legendary marketplaces of Mexico, Chef Donna Willey brings you Canonita. This casual and exciting Mexican dining experience features an authentic, rustic menu of "Mexico-City Soul Food" with delectable tacos, ceviches and mouth watering barbacoa made with savory fire-roasted meats, grilled vegetables and the freshest seafood. Hand-made tortillas, refreshing salsas and fresh-juice Star Margaritas provide guests with an unforgettable "true taste of Mexico." The bustling open-air kitchen adds to the home-style warmth and energy of Canonita as do the patio festoon lighting and umbrellas with lively Salsa and Tejano music. Behind the bar many imported cervezas are featured alongside old-world Sangria and many premium Mexican tequilas, perfect for relaxed sipping.
