Dinner for two at $120 with two glasses of wine and desert. Food resembled that from a warming table, with stale profiteroles for desert. Service pleasant but erratic, with wine served after the meal was well underway. New York prices with casino diner quality.

We visited this charming restaurant on Saturday night with a reservation and sat in the upstairs dining room after being offered a table in the "wine cellar". Our server, Leann, was very gracious and helpful as well as knowledgable about the menu. We had decided to have the Rabbit if it was available since that is not something that is... More

The insiders pick for fine dining in Reno, Beaujolais Bistro, has moved and become Beaujolais. Situated on the Truckee River, with a new full bar service and a lower special events room with wine cellar, it is even better than before. And with plenty of parking. Bill, the Chef/owner has brought the best of French cooking and married it with... More

This restaurant moved from a smaller place downtown to a larger place on the edge of downtown some time back. This is the first time I've been to the new location and I love it. They're in an older house located across from the river and the setting is very nice. Parking is easy and the area is very safe... More

I was exhaustingly disappointed. 6:20: We had a reservation but had to wait over 10 minutes to be seated.6:30: seated, make drink order. 6:45 cocktails and beer finally come, waitress takes our order, 7:15: first course comes order another drink, 7:45 next course comes waitress realizes she never brought drink order. Food was over salted and just poor flavor combinations.... More

I was walking my dog afterwork and wondered if Gilbert would let me sit outside and have a cocktail with my dog. The answer was yes and I had a lovely time with my dog drinking a 75 and eating oysters. The restaurant has moved to a lovely location on the river and sitting outside was the best. I had... More

Four of us went to Beaujolais last night at their new location and we were so surpassed with the stunning location right across from Truckee River. You better get a reservation because since they moved everyone who loves quality dinning has flocked to this restaurant. The service was superb and the dishes from appetizers to entrees to desert and spectacular... More

Love the new location so close to the Truckee river. Nice atmosphere, fit for couples or business dinners. Love the cocktails. We tried the fish and the steak and were all very good.

Just had dinner here for my birthday and will most likely be going back soon. The new location across from the Truckee River is great. We really liked the feel they accomplished with the renovations to the the place. We had a very good meal and great service. I had the French Onion Soup and Duck Breast. Both were very... More

My first visit to this restaurant was impressive. It has been in its current location for a little over a month. The setting is wonderful: a converted older home across the street from the Truckee River. The service from start to finish was great, and it was a very busy evening. To start, the cocktail list is impressive. Not wanting... More

Description
Chef Bill Gilbert's charming French style bistro in downtown Reno celebrates authentic French cooking as well as modern interpretation of French cuisine.

We serve Niman Ranch beef, lamb, and pork, Liberty Duck, and much of our organic produce is sourced locally including wild and exotic mushrooms from Connie Green.

Our extensive bar and wine list is available early for your pleasure. Outdoor seating is also available seasonally. Private dining arrangements are available on request.

We are proud to be voted "Reno's Best French Restaurant" for over a decade, and "Reno's Most Romantic Restaurant" in 2014 by the Reno News & Review.
