We have never eaten here even though we come through Winnemuca annually on our way skiing. We have always eaten at the Martin Hotel's restaurant which is a Basque place. But we grew really tired of this place because the portions were way too big, and the execution not good enough. So this time we tried the Pig. Loved this... More

We ate here last week on our way back from Jackson Hole. I had the smokehouse combo (ribs, pulled pork, tri tip). The other 2 were OK, but the ribs were really excellent and next time that's probably all I'll have. Warning - my friend had a full rack and you had better be REALLY hungry if you get that.... More

Stopped in for a quick late lunch while passing through Winnemucca. The menu featured all the standard BBQ items i.e. puled pork, ribs, brisket etc. Service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches and cole slaw. Since I was driving, I passed on the beer which I really wanted instead of the diet cola. Anyway the food... More

We ate at the Flyin' Pig and were very impressed by the food and the service. Our server was very helpful in explaining to two Brits about the various food options and the portion sizes. We had an excellent meal with two locally produced beers which were very tasty and good to see that the USA micro-brewing sector is producing... More

Was hankering for some Bar-b-q. You had your choice of different sauces. All were good. Not as tender as I like, but quite tasty.

We usually stop at the The Pig BBQ in Winnemucca on our way to Reno as their food is so delicious. This last Friday was an exception. We arrived and on our way to being seated water was spilled all over me by a busy and hurried waitress, no big deal, I didn't melt. When we were seated my baby... More

We saw a sign on I-80 for the place and it was our first stop in town for the evening. I had the Tri-tip sandwich and really enjoyed. The sauces are all good, tried a little of all offered. The pig tail fries are great. You will be served a plate with your sandwich and heaped with fries. For less... More

Simple, honest BBQ and beer. Server a little hyper, but the ribs and pulled pork were as good as it gets

Very good BBQ. Just enough smoke. Ribs and pulled pork are both good but the highlight for me was the pig wings. Crunchy, chewy, smoky little bites of porky heaven! The pigtail fries are great too.
