Took a break in between horse back riding over Thanksgiving. Food was warm, reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and swift. Great burgers, fries, and desserts. Not a fancy place, but good eats.

First night in Campton, tried this eatery for dinner, did not meet expectation, food was average staff were friendly, but felt like I was eating in a cafeteria, needs a facelift and should decide whether it's a restaurant or a pub or whatever, sad because the area needs decent restaurants. take a paintbrush and some tools to help if you... Have not had a bad meal! Great bar munchies! My husband LOVES the baked onion soup! Chicken wings are great! (Try the healthier "naked" version! (Both are excellent!).

It was our first of four nights in Campton during leaf peeping season. This place was the most visible of the handful of eateries in Campton. Positive: Easy to find. Menu is clear. Special this night was the beef pot pie. I had Roasted Butternut Salad with pan roasted salmon. The food was good. With a beer ($3.75) and a... More

Authentic place in the white mountain to meet locals and fuel up with a yummy Burger. Our chose was a Black&Blue and a Mushroom bomb. Both were very tasty :) and huge. So we got a box for the next day ;) The service was great as well.

My family and I recently ate lunch at the Mad River Tavern. The food was mediocre at best. The French fries were greasy and cold. The wait for the food was long. I was told by a friend that "they used to be good about a year ago". Judging from our meals recently they are not worth going to.

My husband ordered the prime rib as they advertised that they were the best in town and we got a slab of meat that looked like it was boiled and nothing close to a prime rib. They took it off our bill and the people were actually nice although service was also slow.

Don't know if it's a bad sign to write about the service first but the service is awesome! Easy to modify menu items, very knowledgeable of the menu - food and drinks, very attentive but not in your face, friendly and witted. Food was very good - had a medium rare burger that was cooked perfectly and tasted even better.... More

The food was OK the wait was ridiculous. I heard that the kitchen staff was slow but we waited one hour and 20 minutes for two burgers which were just OK! I would recommend jumping on the highway going down to exit 24 and grabbing that burger at the common man!

Thank Kathleen B
