This was a family favorite for years. The new owners tried to slide in and make subtle changes and hope to keep the customer base. They put a brown sauce over many entrees, too much sodium. Not the fresh taste of the last owners. We don't go anymore.

Since new management, I have been twice and I'm not fond of a waiter shouting across the restaurant to a customer 2:2. Jade Palace is much better and just down the road in Stratham.

We had drinks and apps at the bar. Good beef teriyaki and chicken wings, but just average. The cocktails were strong, like most Asian places.

We recently went back to the Pine Garden and were impressed with the improvement. The space doesn't look much different but the food is definitely better than it used to be. We had stopped going there as it was just ok but the new owners have made the place more appealing, One warning, the waitress asked if we wanted a... More

I stopped here during lunch and found it to be a nice place. I had some kind of green beans with ginger and beef. It came with a bowl of soup, a spring roll, and rice. It was reasonably priced. I don't have time to eat lunch here everyday but if you aren't on a tight schedule this is a... More

Still looking for a decent Chinese restaurant in the Portsmouth area with no luck. Hoped "new management" improved this eatery. It did not. Both dishes, the chicken egg foo young was drowning in a sea of brown sauce and had absolutely no chicken in it. The triple delight had several shrimps but was tasteless. The sweet and sour soup is... More

Absolutely terrible food. Our serving of red Tuna sushi was dyed and stained the chopsticks and rice. Greasy, overdone rice. Just awful. Nice people but that was about it. The interior was dirty and dated. Never again.
