Howie & Sue from Great Glen Trails recommended SAalt, and what a special place indeed. Excellent food and fun service. The pub is more casual than the bistro Libby's but the same excellent cuisine. What a find, in Gorham, to rival any restaurant in New England, we were very impressed. Well worth any extra drive if even remotely close. This... More

This is about a very special place that patrons stumble upon once in a great while. I mean, this truly impressive eatery, in the shadows of the White Mountains, is located in the center of the tiny northern New Hampshire community of Gorham--pop. about 3,000. The residents know all about the Saalt Pub (no typo, just letters from the family's... More

Although it's a small place they make you feel right at home. We waited about 30 minutes for our table but they were quick to bring drinks to tide us over. We squeezed in with some locals and other tourists while waiting near the bar. The Moat Oktoberfest beer was awesome and so was the rye old fashioned (with fired... More

You read the title correctly, the Pub is spelled exactly as it was written (including the capital "A"). This is my second visit in three years to this eatery. Wish it wasn't 6 hours from home. Don't let the word "Pub" scare you because the food here is not in the same category as "pub-grub". The food here is delicious.... More

From the friendly and skilled service, to the creative cocktails to the delicious food, every thing was so enjoyable. Very popular and some people had to wait extended periods of time for a table but we were lucky enough to be seated at the bar when we walked in.

Food is well prepared, varied in type, and atmosphere popular with locals and visitors. I 've gone three times during visits to Gorham and never have been disappointed. Beer options are excellent too.

I've been here a bunch of times and my meal has always been delicious! I have a bunch of dietary restrictions and I find their waitstaff knowledgable, accommodating, and friendly, which is a huge plus for me. I love the atmosphere too. I love getting a different seat with each visit so I can look at the cool stuff they... More

Dinner for two after a long drive. surprisingly great food, lively local crowd, good bar - very good vibe. Loose and casual, but tasty and creative food. Salt is a cozy and homey spot: waitstaff was friendly and having a good time, so we did too. We had a reservation for dinner the next night in Bethel - but we... More

This is a small restaurant run by a family for almost 20 years. The owner (chef) and staff are very friendly. The food is absolutely great. It is better than one in any upscale restaurant for the price that is common for any cheap restaurant. Next time I will stay in Gorham only because this restorant.

Steve and Liz run a fantastic business, and their team embrace their ethos of great food, great service, friendly, unpretentious and good value. The 'Five Brits from Blightey' couldn't have been better looked after and all agree that their meal and stay is the highlight of New England hospitality. Thank you Charles, Phil, Alan, Steve and Gordon
