The Thompson House Eatery is a great addition to the Northern Valley, Jackson, Bartlett dining scene. The food was really excellent and the new owners have a wonderful approach. The greeting, bar service and wait staff were very friendly, which I can't say is the case for the better known fine dining restaurant on the other road out of Glen.... More

It's a wonderful structure, with a small bar and two distinct seating areas. The new owner is a family relocated from the Boston area, determined to make a success of this restaraunt in small town Jackson NH. It's not cheap, entrees avg @ $28, and don't count on leftovers. The menu is limited, no more than 5-7 items, but those... More

Our second time back since new ownership. Saturday night , busy. Our service was good because of team work service. The hostess and other waitresses helped our main server who was busy. We love this restaurant and will continue to patronize it on a limited bases. For a couple to eat you are in for over a hundred dollars so... More

Upon walking in on a mid week night, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of 'business' they were experiencing. The new owners are doing something right, that is for sure! The decor is beautiful... rustic and charming but not old. We were greeted by a young lady with short brown hair who was very nice. She did seem a... More

WE are locals and are here for the second time after it reopened under new ownership.Don't hesitate to try it out . The food , the drinks and the service are great. By all means try the PEI mussel appetizer. This was "comfort food night" and my wife enjoyed spaghetti and Meatballs(as big as baseballs!) with the best marinara you... More

After being closed for a couple of years, THE has reopened under new ownership. It was always a Jackson favorite, and I think the food is better than ever. The new owners have experience with two other restaurants in Newton, MA. The menu is simple but very creative. It's like gourmet food in an apres-ski environment. The only complaint was... More

Kudos to Jeff & Kate Fournier for reinventing & reopening the Thompson House Eatery. The premises have a fresh, clean, more simplistic look, and the food is excellent. THE is a winner! Kate was greeting patrons and acting as hostess. Her friendly welcome and interaction with guests was infectious. The same can be said for our server, Scarlet. We ordered... More

My husband and I spent the last two days in Jackson and we were pleased to see that the Thompson House had reopened. The updates to the restaurant itself were subtle but well done - keeping the great bones of the building that already existed but paring back some of the decorative elements to a basic, clean look. The food... More

I have never eaten in the same restaurant two nights in a row, until tonight. What pulled me back was the smoked onion tomato soup. It was delicious the first night and did not let me down the second. The flavor was a deep hearty warm tomato with a wonderful smoked cedar smell that gave me the euphoria of sitting... More
