We are regular customers since 2004, at least once per month, and we have never, never been disappointed by the food and the service. Large selection of tasty yet healthy food, we like in particular some appetizers, white pizzas, seafood pastas, meat and fish specials, and desserts (more specifically their 'spumoni bomba'). This is a kind of restaurants in need... More

We went on a Sunday night of president's day weekend. When we walked in the hostess/manager was away from the stand for 10 minutes before she came to take a name of the waiting people ahead of me. She took the person before me and then walked away for another 10 minutes without acknowledging me or the other people waiting.... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. I was not here last Sunday night but was briefed on the situation. You are absolutely right we were definitely under staffed for the volume of business we did last night. Our goal is to staff accordingly based on historical information on special holiday weekends, events, weather, etc. We were... More

I reserved a table a few days in advance and even though they had people waiting they honored the reservation as soon as we arrived and seated us. The wood fired cooking hearth is awesome as you come into the door. The wait staff was very friendly, but the real treat was the food! My girlfriend had the Tomato soup,... More

We found this place using our GPS. Great little random find. We were there on a Saturday evening and there was a wait to be seated and service was a little slow. However, the food was excellent and worth the wait. Staff were friendly.

Went for lunch on a Monday. Comfortable atmosphere with Italian tile floors, wood oven, quiet jazz playing. Mature, attentive service throughout. Margherita pizza, Caesar salads, mussels all excellent. Olive oil and bread, too. Cannoli dessert was a highlight. We'd go back.

My husband and I enjoy dinner here at least once a month. The food is always prepared well and the service is gracious and prompt.

We frequently stop for lunch or dinner on our way tom skiing or hiking in northern vermont. The food is reliably good and the service is very good. We recommend the stop if you are headed north on route 89.

Description
Three Tomatoes Trattoria opened on November 20th, 1990. Over the years I have traveled extensively throughout Italy in search of new ideas, recipes, and great wines to bring back to Three Tomatoes. The source of inspiration continues to be the simple, fresh, healthy and local foods of Trattoria style cooking. Eating in a Trattoria in Italy is like eating with an Italian family. The mood can be relaxed or boisterous, but always friendly. It is a home away from home and a gathering place for friends. I have tried to capture the warmth of the trattoria kitchen with its open fire, the aroma of simmering sauces, roasted meats, grilled fish and pizza baking in our custom built wood fired oven. Our newly revised wine list has been enhanced by selections of distinction and value inspired by attending Vinitaly, Slow Food's Terra Madre and visiting vineyards throughout Italy, Sicily and Sardinia. Three Tomatoes has captured some of the spirit that makes wine, food, and conviviality such an important part of trattoria life. Salute and buon appetito! Robert
