Bar & restaurant with classic pub offerings. All fresh and cooked well. We have not been disappointed.

The Daily Sun had published a magazine during October with a listing of "The Best of the Valley." To my surprise "McGrath's Tavern" came in first in a few categories. So I felt I had to see for myself. We had eaten there when it was called something else many years ago and I always liked the stone walls and... More

We stopped in for lunch Sunday 10/30/16. Robin provided great service. Caesar salad and burger were good. Fries and onion rings were hot, obviously made in house, and tasty. We will return the next time we are in the area.

We ate here 4 times in a week and enjoyed their Fri. halibut fish fry, their apple pie and good, friendly service.

While staying at the Stonehurst Manor we walked down the hill to a pleasant surprise. This pub is family owned and is also worked by family members. We just had drinks, which were very good. The food we saw looked very appetizing and heard excellent comments about the food from other customers. This is a very friendly and well run... More

There was a fairly long wait for seating and for being served but we weren't in a hurry and all staff were pleasant. The prices were good also , the only downfall was we were being kept standing a the entrance by the maitre de lady when she... I'm not one to order, let alone suggest that anyone else, pot roast in a restaurant BUT this dish at this place is the absolute best! It truly is home cooking. I've also had the Caesar salad with steak tips which was very good BUT, you just can't beat that pot roast. Local guy owned and often helped out by... More

We happened upon this eating pub by chance but we're pleased to see it on the local eateries list. We'd much rather support local businesses than corporate chains. We both had a main course salad and they were wonderful. Great combinations and fab homemade dressings. Add a homemade blueberry pie and decent beer and we were sold.

Waited 25 minutes for a table because they were out of menus. Waited an hour After placing food order to get food and no one checked in with us in between. Owner was rude when I complained. Onion rings greasy, steak subs mushy.

Thank Shaun D
