Had take out with my girl. I ordered pan fried noodles triple delight. Received one container of pretty good hot mix of veg, chicken, beef, shrimp. The other was a Styrofoam plate of pan fried noodles. Dry, cold, hard. Shattered under pressure of a fork. Chinese taco salad? Is that by intention? I tried to cook / soften the noodles,... More

We went here for a meal when visiting Portsmouth. It looks nice from outside and the dining room is nice, modern and clean. Lots of choice on the menu. The food we thought was average and went cold quickly. There were only a couple of tables taken and service was average, not overly friendly. Haven't tried any other local ones... More

Found this place by chance... looking for some where to eat at the last minute and stumbled upon this clean inviting restaurant. Waitress knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Extremely clean including the bathrooms. Very busy but staffed enough to handle the to go orders and the eat in patrons. Appetizers fresh and mouthwatering. Fried rice very different almost a golden yellow... More

Honestly, save your money and go home and make a sandwich. The food was dry, unpleasant and served in a near-empty but still clattery dining room without joy. We only ate enough to satisfy our acute hunger, then left the rest. Not pleasing in any way.

In the heart of downtown Portsmouth, so a great location. The service was wonderful, very fast. Free soda refills are a plus! We loved our entrees--very fresh vegetables and my son pronounced the General Tso's Chicken the best he has ever had! We had to get back on the road, so we took our leftovers to go and the waitress... More

We ranted and raved about this spot when it first opened. But for our last 3-4 visits it's been down right disappointing. First we noticed the fried rice had changed, then the crab rangoons changed outer shell and the interior was wayyyyyyy too sugary sweet ... and last night is our last time. People not feeling well at all. Sad.

We have tried all the other Chinese restaurants in the surrounding area, and this is better then those, but maybe because I am from a big city, and am used to 50 choice in a one mile radius, I found this just average, The service was good, the food was a little pricey, but the area is generally expensive, I... A gem in downtown Portsmouth. We stoppped by and asked if they had a good Mai Tai and Winnie the bartender said the best in town. She did not dissapoint. She brought us complimentay crab rangoon and that got us to sample many more dishes. Do not miss the peach shrimp. Winnie made the evening for us.

We went to Pink Bamboo because they had won the "best of" category for Chinese food. We were not disappointment! The food here rocked. My go-to choices are sweet and sour chicken and sometimes General Tso chicken. The cherry sauce that came with the sweet & sour was AMAZING. It tastes like it was homemade, my mouth was doing flips... More

May 11, 2015 So... I had NEVER been to the Pink Bamboo Restaurant before and I was hungry for a great, hot lunch. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! My friend (from Germany) - someone I've known for 36 years - was up visiting me and we had done our errands for the day. Our wanderings took us to Portsmouth, where we... More
