My husband and I are staying at Wentworth by the Sea and had breakfast on our way out to sightsee. I had the French toast and it was great. My husband had the ElPaso scrambled with jalapeño Chicken sausage, peppers, onions and pepper jack cheese with home fries and toast. It was delicious as well. He said the coffee was... More

I ordered an Omelettes with peppers, onions, tomatoes, bacon and a half order of cheese. Everything was fresh and prepared well - a little light on the bacon, but still good. The home fries were tasty without being spicy - cooked perfectly although I am always looking for a little crunch which they did not have. Toast and coffee was... More

After spending the happiest foodie vacation of his life, my teen grandson thought he had eaten lobster every wonderful way possible - and then he had a lobster omelet and a blackberry-peach homemade muffin for breakfast at the Golden Egg the morning we went home.. Fabulous! Terrific! Over-the -top!!

The Golden Egg has been around for as long as I can remember. Good quality food and generous portions. They always have some unique and tasty specials on the menu and also the typical basic breakfast items. Definitely worth the visit. Also, very child-friendly restaurant. If you don't mind the slightly outdated furnishings, and basic decor it is certainly worth... More

Love this place. The hash is great. The wait staff is even better. Nice old fashioned breakfast place like the old Pete's Coffee shop in Leominster, MA.

Great breakfast. Grilled blueberry muffin. Lots of gluten free options available. I had the Fenway scramble and it was great.

We visited the Golden Egg for a lunchtime breakfast. The restaurant was busy, but there were tables available. Service was good, cleanliness was excellent. There are certain things we look for as breakfast aficionados. Are the home fries well prepared and unique? Here, average. Are the eggs cooked properly? Yes. However, the omelette had a really odd texture. Veggies in... More

I think Mamie was combing those famous bangs in the White House when the Golden Egg was last renovated. But don't let the decor put you off. A good solid breakfast and lunch establishment open from 6:00 am until 2:00 pm The egg white lobster omelette boasted a huge portion of lobster. The sour dough bread was tasty and actually... More

The Golden Egg reminds one of the joy of a good diner-style breakfast. Fresh, hot coffee served upon arrival, lots of options to choose from on the menu, very friendly staff, and prompt delivery of well-cooked food in generous portions. It deserves the morning crowds one sees so often, but it is worth the wait to enjoy this restaurant.
