I've stopped in to get Christmas stocking stuffers (i.e., tall, chunky bottles of microbrews) for my brew-loving son, and I usually have lunch. I love the chili, and the beer is good (but it's a brewery, so it should be). I always have the chili, it's that good. The menu's a bit pricey, but it's part of a tourist attraction,... More

This was a last minute visit and it was worth the stop. Very good food choices on the menu. And, the beers were awesome. Great Job!

beer aficionado, live about 4mi from here. Seen the brewery from the road for years. Never knew they had a pub (Cataqua Public house). My wife found out about it. We went for dinner last night. Had samplers, superb wings (tasty and smoked; not classic buffalo wings), excellent fries, haddock sandwich, salad, and a reuben. Classic pub food, very good,... More

Had a group of 17 people here recently which I booked in advance. They had a table all ready for us and a great waitress handled our order. The whole restaurant was almost at full capacity, yet we still had outstanding service. She checked in with everyone in our party frequently and was so pleasant and efficient. The menu is... More

Went here for a business lunch with three others. The Spicy Beef Noodle Bowl looked interesting, so ordered that. Our waitress - my apologies, I didn't catch her name - was very friendly and warm. She brought our drinks quickly after ordered. Had the hummus plate appetizer, which was pretty tasty. While I like it, I'm not a huge hummus... More

We had an impromptu party if 12 at the pub not realizing it was during happy hour. We had a really great waitress Sue who was so attentive and went out of her way in so many ways, such as bringing us all free samples of the newest beer brewed, seeing that we were serving a cake we brought in... We did not go to eat but to purchase beer they produce. Parking was full as there was some sort of outside event happening. Small retail store off the pub very interesting and had beer and souvenirs to purchase. Pub not full at the time.

Although over the years we've been told by countless servers that, fron a corporate point of view, this venue is all about the brewery and not about the restaurant, the food served is generally very gpod. They add in a couple specials each week to supplement the menu, so there's generally something new all the time. And the food is... More

The Cataqua Pub has been here for 20 years and for 20 years we've been eating here. It used to be a great pub with a cozy atmosphere. They've removed the cozy booths several years ago and opted for a whole bunch of tables instead. This huge room is now big, cold and noisy. My husband and I went for... More

Driving through, needed lunch, trying to avoid chain resteraunts. Long drive ahead so I passed on the beer. Very disappointed. My Ceasar with salmon on top tasted good but salmon portion was ridiculously small. My wife's burger was dry and overdone. My son's mac'n"cheese was dry and unremarkable. I won't be going back for the food.
