Stopped here on a driving trip through New England. Shared a burger with my husband and added jalapeños and mushrooms. Very delicious! Noticed there were a lot of group photos on the wall of men in front of a bus and there was a reference to "bass" in one pic. I asked where they were going on their annual fishing... More

If you're out for a fall ride (or snowmobile ride for that matter) this is a great place to stop for a beverage and a snack, or lunch or dinner. It's very close to scenic route 153 in downtown Sanbornville. Sandwiches, burgers, soups and specials are all excellent. Beer is cold and wine is good. (No liquor.) The Pub is... More

We have been eating at the Poor People's Pub for over 30 years and hope to go there for 30 more. The food remains consistently excellent. Believe it or not, we usually order one of 2 meals; chicken salad on a hot dog roll or a pub burger with a green salad and the best ever warm German potato salad.... More

This was a night with a lot of fun! Great food, great beer, great people. It may be a little off the beaten path for some folks but it's definitely a place to go to, to stop at, or to make a special trip for.

We have gone to the Poor People's Pub THREE times - each time we were waiting for the great food, wonderful service, and all the other positive things said on here about this place......we have yet to encounter it. Let me also say that I almost NEVER give a review lower than an average - most are good to excellent... More
