We've been here before-never again. One of our party wanted Lobster Pie and that's why we went to this restaurant. When we parked the staff was crowed around the door smoking! One of our party had never been to a Lobster Pound so we went to the tanks and were looking and no one asked to help or talked to... More

They actually give you a butter/margarine mix to dip your lobster in. Unbelievable. "Most people don't notice. We'll give you butter if you ask for it." Sacrilege. Shame on them.

So fun to see every picnic table taken in mid-winter at this classic lobster shack at the beach. They had a 16 pound lobster and a small blue lobster that they were not selling. We enjoyed more traditional 3 pounders with onion rings, clams, scallops, great fries and Cole slaw. Yes lobster is expensive at $15 per pound but it's... More

I've waited to write this because I was hoping that with time, my feelings would soften. We headed to Hampton Beach in November and our usual stop is across the street, but they were not open. We had not been in Brown's since our very first visit to the area in 2004. I was unimpressed then... I am beyond unimpressed.... More

This is a summer staple. Fresh seafood on a screened in porch at the beach and life doesn't get much better. Brown's is cash only but it also is BYOB. A fried seafood lover's dream. And is it even a trip to Brown's if you don't stop at Tripoli down the street for dessert?

First off they only take cash , but they do have their own ATM machine. There are no waiters or waitress. You go into a side room to order. Line on the right for fried food.Left side for boiled food. You pay and they give you a number. Find yourself a set in the dinning area and wait for your number... More

Stopped in for clam chowder and fish chowder. Took a long time on a slow November day, but there plenty of workers standing around. For a small chowder at $5, it WAS small. There was mostly broth and potatoes. Hold the pepper too. Grew up with Browns. What has happened?

This restaurant has been my friend's family tradition for over 65 years and I can see why! We went twice for lobster and the scallops/clams platter. I normally do not do fried food but wow - the scallops were SO GOOD! The first night on Saturday, 10/15 we encountered a super moon in front of us and a breath taking... More
