We've been here several times. The food, and the service has always been very good. Highly recommended.

I've been eating seafood from Kleins for years. Whether you're in the restaurant or the fish market you'll get fresh fish excellently prepared. At the market they'll steam it for you or give you great advice on how to prepare it at home which many do especially in the summer. In the off season I go to the restaurant more... More
We wanted to enjoy fresh fish and seafood and a friend recommended Kleins, so we decided to give it a try. We set on the balcony by the water by our waitres Maria, her service was fantastic, freindly, funny, knoledgable about the dishes, accomadating to all of our little whims, great :). We stated with The NE Clam Chowder -... More
We've been living in Asbury Park since May, and one of the few negatives is that there are no seafood restaurants on the water. But only three towns away you'll find is Belmar, and on the Shark River, Klein's Waterside Cafe. HUGE menu with every possible seafood dish you could imagine. Plenty of small plates, which is a nice option,... More
My husband and I dined on the patio Memorial Day at around 4:00p.m. There were not many other diners there at the time. When we were first seated the hostess tried to put us at a table with an umbrella flipped inside out and spinning around. I asked to be seated somewhere else with an umbrella that wasn't broken so... I first ate here 10 years ago and the crab cakes were so memorable I sought it out again while back in area on business. Was it as good as I remembered, almost. I remember the lump crabmeat,no bread, just crab meat broiled and served in patty. Still just crabmeat, notalllump, but all crab, seasoned a tiny bit too much for me,... More
A few friends and I stopped in for Sunday brunch and were pretty disappointed. The food was decent overall, but it was incredibly overpriced and staff were very rude. It seems like want to make it seem formal so they can charge more - plenty of other options in the area would not return.
Seafood here is amazingly fresh and the waiter was a really nice young man who was very attentive and service was exceptionally. You get a lot of value for your dollar here and the food is truly wonderful. The clam Bake was fantastic and would certainly recommend this restaurant. A bit of a wait but no big deal.
On the waterfront dining in belmar. Super fresh fish. I tried the boom boom shrimp....light Pablo breading and just enough sweetness and heat to make this a hit. Oysters Rockefeller were plump juicy and very tasty. The meal highlight was a clam bake.no way one person could eat this. My date and I split it and it was more than... More
