Have dined here many times and we were never so disappointed in both our meals and service. Even though their website noted that pot roast was on the menu, it was not. There was a beef stew. I should say vegetables and mashed potato stew. There was a few tiny pieces of beef, that was it. My husband had the... More

We ferried over from Lewes and took the shuttle to eat here. Not my first time but a unique experience. Lauren was our wonderful server. I have to say it was worth the trip to have their Clam Chowder. The beer battered haddock was also a winner. We will return come Springtime.

The omelettes are awesome with farm fresh ingredients. The chocolate chip pancakes were devoured as was the breakfast sandwich. A great breakfast experience and I don't normally like breakfast!!

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast - it was very, very good. The menu selection was large and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back.

I made plans to take my, out of state family, to a place that I felt would have warm, holiday setting for a pre- Christmas dinner. We decided on the Blue Pig Tavern. The place was decorated very nicely, the fireplace made a warm cozy dining area. We arrived a few minutes prior to our 5:00 reservation time, We were... More

We visited the Blue Pig for Christmas dinner. As you'd expect, if was very busy. The food was good but the atmosphere and the service both lacked.

This was my third visit to the Blue Pig, a tavern in Congress Hall, a destination spot in Cape May. This time we stopped with the family after the Candlelight Christmas House Tour of Cape May and this place was hopping. We had reservations and we arrived about 10 min early, the hostess snapped "we'll seat you at your reservation... More

FINALLY made it here after trying for a couple of trips to Cape May. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. The ambiance was wonderful, decorated nicely for Christmas. Our server was spot on and very friendly. I had the meatloaf which was made with nutmeg for a different but exciting taste. My dining companion had the chicken, also prepared... More

No reservations were needed and no waiting at all. Our server Lilia was absolutely perfect. She made sure our evening was outstanding. Sitting next to an open fire with a glass of wine. The food is very well presented, prepared and very delicious. Nothing more need said except if you are coming to Cape May then this is the place.

Description
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.
