Stopped here on our way to the cemetery as usual. Have eaten here for over 30 years and this visit was very disappointing. It has always been a "bonus" to come here for rippers when visiting the cemetery. It's no surprise that the inside is a dump but their hot dogs were awesome. This time the beer was flat, the... My husband loves the deep fried hotdogs so much that we often go well out of our way to stop whenever we travel through Jersey. For me, the onion rings are what make it worth the trip...really greasy, but really delicious!

If you like hot dogs this is the top of the list must eat at. Been around for ages and I've eaten here since the 1960's. Yes it's a total dump but the hot dogs are second to none. The "Ripper" is a killer dog for sure. Make sure you know the ordering "lingo". To go is "Travelling". French fries... More

A Clifton landmark, rippers with world famous relish, have to get some when in the area. They also have cold beer.

I've been going here since the 80s. Not much has really changed. The food is still great. The quality has never declined.

Hot dog aficionados know there's only one place in NJ for the deep fried weiner- Rutt's. They even built a highway around it to preserve its. Don't order a dog or they'll know you're a tourist. Don't go to the sit down restaurant - stand and eat a the counter with the common folk. And don't forget frenchies well.

Great dogs there -- they make them on site. My favorite is the sliced steak -- very tasty, and served with fries and shoestring onion rings.

Time and location precluded an Italian hot dog but allowed for a quick late night trip to Rutt's Hut. Had two terrific dogs, root beer and onion rings.

The food is good but the place is outdated and the waiters were rude. We asked to get different silverware because they were dirty and she took it personal.

My grandson suggested we visit Rutt's Hutt to get some hot dogs. I told him I haven't been there since I was a young boy. When we arrived at the Hutt, I was surprised how much it had grown since I had seen it last. All that aside I ordered the hot dog and a bowl of chili and devoured... More
