I'm 53 and have been eating here for 52 years. My parents, still alive in their 80's tell me my mother went into labor in the parking lot 60 years ago with my older brother. In 53 years I have never had a ripper, I'm a beef sandwich and onion ring aficionado. Nothing changes and that's the secret. If you... More

I've been eating here since I was a kid. The hot dogs are legendary and deservedly so. I have even brought their hot dogs to hospitalized friends...seems to have a positive effect. Not much has changed and it still worth the visit.

A terrific place to have awesome hotdogs and catch up with motorcycle friends. Also a great place to see gorgeous motorcycles.

I am a big fan of their hot dogs and club sandwiches. This was always a must-go-to place in the 70s and 80s after a night bar hopping ! Now we have matured so it is the same as always...good food and very reasonably priced Great Sandwiches and soups - cannot go wrong !

Stopped here on our way to the cemetery as usual. Have eaten here for over 30 years and this visit was very disappointing. It has always been a "bonus" to come here for rippers when visiting the cemetery. It's no surprise that the inside is a dump but their hot dogs were awesome. This time the beer was flat, the... My husband loves the deep fried hotdogs so much that we often go well out of our way to stop whenever we travel through Jersey. For me, the onion rings are what make it worth the trip...really greasy, but really delicious!

If you like hot dogs this is the top of the list must eat at. Been around for ages and I've eaten here since the 1960's. Yes it's a total dump but the hot dogs are second to none. The "Ripper" is a killer dog for sure. Make sure you know the ordering "lingo". To go is "Travelling". French fries... More

A Clifton landmark, rippers with world famous relish, have to get some when in the area. They also have cold beer.

I've been going here since the 80s. Not much has really changed. The food is still great. The quality has never declined.

Hot dog aficionados know there's only one place in NJ for the deep fried weiner- Rutt's. They even built a highway around it to preserve its. Don't order a dog or they'll know you're a tourist. Don't go to the sit down restaurant - stand and eat a the counter with the common folk. And don't forget frenchies well.

Thank Avram S
