Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I arrived for an early dinner after traveling for hours. Looking forward to a glass of wine and a good meal. I was no disappointed! Delicious! Since it appeared I was the only customer at that early hour I sat at the bar and enjoyed...the company of the bartender and owner. Great stories to go with the great foodMore

I travel to the Newark area for work every one or two months. And this is one of my favorite spots to eat. Not too expensive, consistently good food and service! Tonight I broke from tradition and got a veal chop special instead of their...delicious seafood paella. The chop was excellent and large, picture attached. I started with a house salad, bread, and Sangria. Everything was excellent againMore

When I have to travel to this area for work, I try to come here for dinner. It is a very short walk from the Hampton Inn where I am staying. A couple pictures of the dining area and bar are attached. The food is...always very good and reasonably priced, even the Sangria. I seem to get the seafood paella, paella de mariscos, when I come, but tonight was Negra with black sauce! Tonight I started with lentil soup and Sangria with nice bread (picture attached) Then the Paella came and was delicious, picture also attached.More

Very generous portions of delicious food. The portobello mushroom appetizer is wonderful. One word of advice: One entrée plus one appetizer would have been more than enough for the two of us. Especially considering the warm bread they serve is irresistible. But if you want...leftovers, by all means order as much as you want! The paella is fantastic. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly and very helpful.More

Very close to our hotel the Hampton with 1/5 of a mile. Seated us quickly and got our drinks. We did the pork belly as an appetizer. Came out fresh and hot. Our main entree was NY strip with veggies and Spanish fries. Black and...blue hamburger with steamed broccoli. I have this pet peeve about digging the top bun out where the hamburger will have a perfect bite. Waiter was very attentive. Very pleased.More

After a cold windy, snowing walk from the Hampton Inn, I Started with hot collard green & bean soup , caldo gallego, and of course Sangria and warm bread ( this was delicious and warmed me up (picture attached). Now the Paella de Mariscos (picture...inserted) fantastic as usual! Now I am fortified for the cold windy, snowy walk back to the Hampton.More

My husband and I and our cousin and her husband had dinner here the first Friday night in December. Though there was a holiday party, we were able to be seated right away without reservations. Our server was kind and attentive. He made great food...and drink suggestions. The rum punch was premixed but tasty. The atmosphere was quaint and intimate. I ordered a white fish in a wine sauce, yellow rice and mixed veggies (carrots, green beans and broccoli). We walked from our hotel (Hampton Inn & Suites) which was about a five minute walk. The route was well lit and safe.More

I come here almost every work trip to Newark, when I stay at the Hampton Inn around the corner (it’s a short couple hundred yard walk). Usually I get the Paella de Mariscos. But last night I got the Lamb Osso Buco off the specials...menu (picture attached after Intookbthe meat off the bone) that was excellent. I couple glasses of Sangria complemented it nicely. My boss had a bowl of Garlic soup and a Roast beef sandwich that he liked alsoMore

I come here almost every time I visit our plant near Newark, especially when I stay at the Hampton Inn Around the corner. I started with the very necessary 1/2 pitcher of Sangria some bread and a small salad ( picture attached), very good; Then...I had the paella mariscos, with shrimp, scallops, calamari, clams, and mussels (picture attached) delicious. I added some pictures of the front inside with the food I had.More

I was here on a work trip back in March and came back tonight. It’s only a couple hundred yards from the Hampton Inn where I am staying. Pictures of the entrance from the street, the bar area, and the dining room area are attached.... I had the Paella Mariscos with Sangria (pictures attached), there is more seafood than rice. It has shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari!! I will have more work trips to the area and will definitely come back here.More

I was staying at the Hampton Inn just around the corner from the restaurant and an easy about a 200-yard walk. It was recommended by the young lady at the hotel's front desk. A picture of the front from the street is attached. Since I...was alone and texting my family during dinner I chose to sit in the back dining area and not in the front bar area where most of the other guests were. The service was very good and I started with a small carafe of Sangria (a picture with the bread is attached); A picture from my table in the dining area inside is also attached. I had the Paella Mariscos (Seafood) which was excellent (picture attached). I waited less than the 30 minutes the waiter said it would take. And, believe it or not, there was more seafood in the serving skillet than rice - delicious. I will try to come back on my next trip here.More

Went in for some late snacks after a long day and before an extended trip to Brazil (Hotel and this restaurant are not all that far to EWR airport).....Food was actually very good. Old guy, Portuguese waiter was friendly enough when we came in, but...the bartender / waiter that took over after him.....Sheeeesh! So damned unfriendly, didn't crack a smile, didn't even attempt some lite BS with us, his esteemed patrons.....Made an otherwise tasty meal a bit of a disappointment....Guy could use some classes at a charm school (unless he's only like this with non-regular clientele)....Suggestion: Go across the river to Newark's Ironbound for great food choices and with waiters that make you feel welcome, e-s-p-e-c-i-a-l-l-y during these Covid timesMore

The Spanish Pavilion is great, the staff are super friendly, the owner is a great guy, and most importantly the food is amazing. The paella was the best I ever had. The sangria was great, and the music they were playing, ( 70's rock )...was great. All in all a great time, go here and support them.More

Sorry, I did not see your question, nor could I have answered it. It really is directed at the restaurant. I hope you went and enjoyed it.
