Ritz Diner has the best apple pie I have ever had. I always order in advance for puck up on Thanksgiving. Everyone always raves about their pie! Employees are rude so I only go to pick up pies, never stay to eat off the menu.

Always busy, but food is always good. Good Diner that has been around for a while for as long as I can remember. Stop by for coffee and a nice selection of NJ baked pastries :) Can't go wrong with that. Or go with family or a group of friends for dinner . Call before if you have a large... More

to get a face lift, ie, new carpet and some updating. Yes, it's an institution and we all love the Ritz, but even the best of places can lose their footing. Last few times there, crowded seating, RUDE young woman who I asked for different table, threw the menus on the new table with a loud hmmmpf... and on and... More

This has been a stable in the area for years. It's a decent diner--not the best of NJ--but it's good. Service is inconsistent; sometimes bad, and some of the pricing seems a bit much, but it serves it's purpose. It's also a local scene which also is a nice aspect to it...food is ok.

We were a group of 6 and went for lunch. Our table was very cramped once we all had plates and glasses. The waitress accidentally spilled my mother in law's ice water on her. She knocked the water glass with a plate as she was serving us. She was very apologetic but still.... I ordered the Tex Mex wrap. There... More

My wife and I shared a large and well prepared salmon dish. There was so much salmon that we took home some and had it for lunch. Excellent rolls, salad, soup and a cost for two persons About $ 22.00. Can't be beat for fish quality and price.

The Ritz diner in livingston is a great place to eat. Breakfast is outstanding and most of the food is very good. Parking sometimes is hard to find.

The Ritz is an institution in Livingston. It is the quintessential diner. Huge menu. Everything you could ever want. Service is normally fast and you may feel rushed but just tell the waiter you want to take your time. No problem. They have a counter if you like. Bakery is famous. Huge take out business. Breakfast anytime. Burgers are great.... More

Many visits have confirmed that this somewhat rundown diner serves "excellent" food. The fish had been especially good. On this visit the fish was poorly prepared. One poor experience does not mean that we or you should not return. Hope this poor meal is not the beginning of a trend. I doubt that it is!

Stopped here for breakfast and boy was I surprised. The cinnamon raisin French toast was amazing and coffee was great! They were packed but the wait was very short. I would drive up there just for the breakfast!
