Love this place. We live at the Jersey Shore and actually take a day trip up to Milford to visit the Ship Inn for lunch. Love the fish and chips and the English stout type beers. Burgers are tried and true, excellent flavor. They serve a true Sheperd's Pie dish that is outstanding. Nice bar to hang out and enjoy... More
The Fish & chips was just right and the house made tartar sauce was great. The adult mac & cheese was creamy with a cheddar tang and such a large portion that we needed to get a togo container. The bartender gave a great pour on our well drinks too. We are no beer drinkers, but we heard nice comments... More
This place is worth a trip down to the small town of Milford on the banks of the mighty Delaware River. The atmosphere is classic brew pub from the entry room to the bar to tin ceiling to the bright side dining area. The food is good, not great, but where have you seen Scottish Eggs on the menu recently.... More
Tiny Milford, NJ has The Ships Inn. If on PA Rt 611 / Rt 32, cross the bridge (pull in your mirrors if possible, I mean tiny bridge) to NJ (free) and visit this place. British theme Pub with great food. Bar and seating area. We had Mac & cheese. Bacon on mine, ham in hers. But not spread on... More

My husband ordered chicken curry and that was yummy with chutneys and bread for dipping. I was done way before him because my portion was pretty small. The... More
Mixed bag. Seemed to be only two people working there -- an overtasked waitress/bartender and the cook. We were the only diners along with a couple of bar guests. Food was good -- flounder sandwhich and British sampler. Will give it a second chance, but not hopeful that it will end up being a "go-to" place.
Was told how good the food was when we were staying near by and loving British style pubs, it was a no brainier. I tried the Cornish pastry and my wife tried the beef and mushroom pie. The start, the pasties were small and the bottoms doughy. The tastes was good though. The pie was actually over spiced and the... More
