Tumulty's has been a New Brunswick institution for more than 80 years and, until this summer, had been owned by the same family. This continuity led to an expected level of quality in the food along with unparalleled affordability. However, this summer the family sold the restaurant to a new family and things are not the same. We always loved... More

I thought the food here was disgusting. The burger was salty and the fries were poor. There is a train that goes around the restaurant. Only problem with that, I could not see it. Service here is very good here though.

I am super thrilled to see that Tumulty's is only getting a make over rather than being shut down as i had heard. If they keep the menu the same i would always recommend their french onion soup!! I always get the half head of lettuce and soup.. good, cheap and filling. their steak is also pretty good for a... More

Great atmosphere with entertainment downstairs at times. We've eaten here several times and always enjoyed ourselves. Despite how busy they are, we've always been able to find a table. Apps are great, and the menu's dinner options offer enough for everyone.

I had the swordfish which was tasty but then again it's hard to go wrong with swordfish. I went during restaurant week and their prix fix menu was disappointingly limited. They did have a variety of good beers available. One minor annoyance—I was there with a large group, many of whom needed separate receipts for reimbursement purposes. Not ideal, I... More

The menu is kind of limited, and nothing is very exciting. The beer selection is limited, and again not very exciting. Good place for a good meal, but not for an excellent meal

Stopped in for a business lunch. Average taste and presentation for pub food. Pretty dark in there, but had model trains running around tracks throughout the restaurant - very cool. The server was not very interested in his job or returning to check on us. Had to ask another person to get drink refills.

Food was pretty good, we had the mozzarella sticks (I wouldn't suggest) then I ordered a burger which comes with a free wedge salad which was good and fries the burger was perfectly cooked and tasty. Overall nice atmosphere I'd come back!

Love coming here for the great burgers. Can get very crowed and sometimes difficult to get in but worth it. Only drawback on Tumulty's is that it is so dark inside. I wish they had more lighting.

Beautiful sunny afternoon no outside service, not only was it not sunny outside, this place is probably the darkest afternoon eatery in all of New Brunswick. Told that they were famous for fish n' chips...horrible, perfectly "shaped" cod fish (questionable); looked better in my grocery frozen section; really?? 6.95 for onion rings appitizers they were not even home made?? this... Description
Tumulty’s is known for providing the best value in Casual American food and drink. Our 10 Ounce Pub Burgers and Black Angus Burgers are consistently ranked among New Jersey’s Best Burgers. Our Prime Rib and New York Strip Steaks compare with entrees costing much more at other restaurants. Fresh seafood specials and vegetarian entrees provide great choices for non-meat eaters. Our downstairs room is great for private parties and meetings. We welcome Rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, cocktail parties, business meetings and seminars. Packages for dinners, buffets, hors-d’oervres and open bars are very reasonably priced.
