This centrally located BYOB restaurant in PRN has lovely tapas and is a great place to done inside or out. WE have had the baked cod and the salmon, both with potatoes and vegetables. Great. the salads are also nice, especially if the tomatoes are in season. A real treat to done outside on elevated deck overlooking the main street,... More

Chef Jose remembers his roots and training. Second time eating here and it was excellent. Pulpo a la Gallega was one of the best octopus preparations that I have eaten here in the USA. Large tapas portion and enough for two. His excellent grilled vegetable dish was also enought for two. Try the lunch special @$15.00 for two plates. I... More

After two days of eating out in striving Manhattan restaurants it was pleasant to come "home" to Princeton and find a place that served up fine flavors, good value, attentive service at not-break-the-bank prices. Despana offers diners a choice of inside and outside seating on the second floor of a building that has parking for about a dozen vehicles in... More

Went with a group for lunch after good recommendation from friends and we had a terrible experience. Some of our group took the two-course menu and the tortillas were ok but the second course was awful. Really awful ... I ordered a Filet Mignon (sirloin beef) and the meet came kind of over cooked (or boiled ???) instead of grilled.... More

Having spent many years in Spain, this food is authentic, a true delight to the pallette. I found the arroz con pollo(chicken and rice) filling my memories of flavors from the Old Country. The tapas were unique but met traditional Spanish standards. Service was friendly, but they are on Spanish time....but where was I going anyway? Highly recommended.

Good service and food. The vegetarian paella was a little on the drier side, but other items specially the Patata bravas made up for it. My friends ordered the fish platter and loved it. Rrasonably priced for the service and food quality. Will go back there with family.

First time here and we were really hoping that it would be a great meal. The service here is impeccable but the food was disappointing to say the least. The paella we ordered, although very flavorful, was dry. The use of the bomba rice is a waste if you don't execute properly. The oxtail was surprisingly delightful although my side... More

This place is terrific....a byob, no bar. Absolutely great food, service, and atmosphere. On the smaller size, upstairs, and quaint. Will not be rushed. Our friends said it's like being in Spain! Will be returning often. Check for four with tip $330. Well worth it!!! Authentic Spanish cuisine.

Food was good and testy. Is it 100% authentic food. Some is. The cheeses and cured meats were from Spain. Not the absolute highest quality but you can't find that here in USA. The main dishes were not very authentic but cater to the American expectation of "Spanish dishes". Overall: fun and nice decor. Polite and efficient staff, food was... More

Chef Garcia's menu is De España - a wonderful sampling of Spanish food. Seafood is prime in the kitchen. But so is the pork, beef and other classic Spanish dishes and tapas. And by the way, so is the "café con leche" wonderfully prepared by Manager Oscar. The space is airy and nicely laid out. The seating is not crowded.... More
